I understand that this song was commissioned as the closing credits song for the game "Death Stranding" , which was set in a post apocalyptic America.People who played this game became very connected to the characters. The game ends on a note of hope. I have read that people who played this game found this song to be a rousing anthem to hope

the game delivers the EXACT same meaning as the song and I think that is beautiful.

I agree, the best ending song the game could have

This is probably one of my favorite songs by them. So much emotion through the instrumentals and vocals. The lyrics make you think internally about yourself, almost enough to tear up. Very beautiful.

the whole theme of the game that shares the name of this song (because this was made for it) is reconnecting a fractured humanity. A humanity that is ultimately fated for extinction, but fights for the future instead of merely giving up. This is why the game's tagline is "Tomorrow is in your hands". So yeah we can kind of see what chrvches went for with this song and their lyrics.

I understand the attraction of considering ourselves a tiny, but integral point in the time continnum. However, even if we make massive contributions to mankind and its space on earth, in the end, the only things we have of value are the personal relationships we form during our brief lifetime. Nothing else really matters, and that, too, will turn to dust and blow away.

btw Drew, please react to BB's Theme, that is also one of the game's most beautiful tracks.

Hello Drew, how have you been these last months? CHVRCHES is an amazing band, I definitely enjoy Alternative bands with female lead singers, I appreciate their artistic vision. And I enjoy bands with male lead singers also. But you can notice that exist more amounts of bands with male vocalists, than female singers. Those groups with front women are changing the world of music. 🎶♀️👩🎤

I remember I enjoyed watching my husband playing the game Death Stranding, the video shows the scenes in the game, but don't remember this song... the sound is amazing though! I love the way you think deep, we all contribute the history, yeah that's right!

I love music that inspires deep thoughts, it's even better to be able to share them with others too. Thanks for watching =)

Lies, Strong Hand, Under the Tide, Night Sky, By the Throat would all be great options to check out if not make videos on. All from their first album, it's more "raw"/not as produced stuff, more authentic. I'm one of the ones who are just here for the chvrches reactions, keep it up!

Do you remember I suggested to react to The Naked and Famous in the We Sink reaction? I hope you can enjoy that band. I suggest you to react to these artists: TheNaked&Famous - The Water Beneath You. MUNA - Stayaway TheChainGangof1974 - DoYouMind? Caroline Polachek - Parachute Christine&theQueens - La Vita Nuova
