That's exactly correct. To each their own. If people get enjoyment out of something then it really doesn't matter what I or anyone else thinks. Especially some random strangers fake name on a computer screen. Which we all are. I shouldn't add to the negativity that exists on forums like this. I just get frustrated and would love to actually once hear a new band that isn't purposely trying to clone themselves.

I agree that there are a few live performances on KZbin of Lauren where her pitch is highly questionable, but I saw Chvrches perform live last week and she was spot on. There could be a number of reasons why she is having pitch problems in some of these videos (inexperience, bad sound guy, illness, etc.), but this girl can definitely sing.

The two other dudes in the band are the producers, they knew what they were getting into when they asked her to join. Its a live recording, I don't see wedge monitors anywhere; It doesn't look like she has any means to hear herself. I'm assuming that earpiece she has on is to hear the recording.

if she didn't sing it in her own style it wouldn't be her song. music is an expression which can be on or off tempo but still a valid expression.... she's doing fine.
