As much as I love Cal Preach, I wouldn't financially be able to subscribe. My husband was recently laid off work and we are struggling and having to be very frugal. However, I will be praying for you and Cal Preach. You are a breath of fresh air. As believers, we all need to let others know that being a Christian does not mean we don't struggle on the journey, we all fall short. But, we have a perfect Father who loves us unconditionally. Agree. It’s a shame we are all separated by finances. And especially now at this time when some are having difficulty paying for the inflation of food prices. And so many of the Food manufacturing plants are having fires every week. How many delays in the food supply are we going to be able to handle? And the US is not buying fertilizer from Russia so farmers are substituting crops or not growing at all. These are things we need to pay attention to because things are getting worse and we need to pray for each other and pray Evil will be gone. God knows who the real Evil is we don’t.

Love the Serenity Prayer. My mom and stepdad started AA when I was 13 and I went to AlaTeen too. We ended up losing our house I grew up in and we had some very hard times, but AA saved my family. My mom and stepdad haven’t had a drink in over 30 years. So glad for you that you got clean and sober with God’s amazing grace and AA!!

Chynna, I had a friend who'd always make me feel like I was a background character in her life. She would never ask "How are you?" or "You need help with anything?" But I did. And she would always take that as a sign to talk about "me, myself and I". A couple weeks back, I went to dinner with her and her friend, and I saw how she treated people she cared about vs. people she saw as less-than. Few days later, I thanked her for the 8 years of friendship, told her that I deserve better and said Goodbye. It has been so freeing to not have those pick&choose "friends" around. If this person is weighing on your feelings, they don't deserve to know you...

Before, and after recent major surgery, I heard not one word from them, UNTIL I was well past needing anything. Needless to say, I have removed myself from this shallow, phony 'Christian' group.

Always try to remember to put on your love lenses. It's so easy to have compassion and kindness, when there's no obstacles. It's when we have every reason to withhold our compassion, that it's imperative to summon our compassion. My ex boyfriend who became my best friend, platonic, life partner, helper, for 13 years, struggled with addiction. It causes him to behave badly. The bad behaviour caused me to forget all of his good qualities, all of the times he was the only one who came to help me when no one else would. Even with the best intentions, it often ended in a calamity initiated partly by his addiction fueled bad behaviours and my own dysfunction and my focus only on the negativity. After a couple of years, I didn't have compassion for his struggle; only frustration for the negative behaviours that it caused. He passed away unexpectedly on Feb 7th. I'm working on forgiving myself for things I wish I had done differently. Unfortunately I didn't have the point of view that I have now gained since his death.

I can’t stop watching these! I love the Serenity Prayer. I learned it from 80’s tv shows like Cagney & Lacey, lol. I hope Chynna figured out her dilemma. It’s hard to deal with family sometimes. I have a family member who drags me into drama when I need peace in my life. But my Mother died at 59, and I’m 54, and suddenly I’m dealing with family dying or dementia, etc. I choose to keep and nurture my family members still around. Life is so short. 💜

Hi Chynna. I live in Indianapolis IN. I just wanted to say something about you feeling abandoned, depressed, and possibly lonely. I have all those issues too, but what helps me is, that Jesus said he was persecuted, and that we'd be persecuted too because of him. My Dad abandoned my Christian Mother and all six of us kids. My Mother was his virgin. She'd never had sex with another man. The oldest kid was 13 years old the youngest was 5 months old. The first four were. Boy's. Brandon 13. Monte. 11. Loren 9. Kyle 4. Me 2. Marcy 5 months old. He chose drinking and partying over all of us. It caused me to have anxiety all my life. I saw my mother suffer unfathomable abuse by people who was supposed to care about her. She would take us 3 little kids with her on her route selling fuller brush product's. Her feet would bleed as she usually didn't have proper shoes. At night I would here up up stairs singing gospel songs while washing clothes. Bedding. And everything in the bathtub. Then she would hang the laundry down the banister to dry. Stay up most of the night to make sure the clothes were dry if not she would have to iron them dry so the older ones would have something to wear to school. She was a devout Christian and very talented she was a guitar player and singer. She was the most beautiful person I've ever seen both inside and outside. She never collected one dime of support from my Dad. I could tell the rest but it's too much. I love you and will pray for you. Please pray for me too. 🙏

@@Debbie-Savings yes my mother died on 07/24/2020. I will never get over it. She was the best friend I had in this world she was snatched away from me by my brother. Because I called the adult protective services because she was being abused in a nursing home where I went to see her every day. My brother moved her 30 miles away and wouldn't answer any of my message's. I never saw her or talked to her for 8 months. NY daughter called me after not answering any messages or phone calls from me for over a year and told me Mom was bad off. I begged her to take me there. She refused. My sister wouldn't go with me. I had to pay a cab to take me 30 miles to see her. She was beyond recognition. She was a skeleton. They starved her to death. OMG. Help Jesus help. 😭

If your gut is telling you that this person has a pattern of abandoning you when you need them......it's time to wish them well and send them on their way and wish them a lovely life. Chyna, I just stumbled onto your channel. I can so relate about struggling, and so called friends calling. I'd love your, and other's here opinions about a recent situation. I belonged to a so called Christian gal's/friend group, varied ages. We'd meet every Friday. And all live close to each other. In February I had major surgery, which meant I was an invalid for about a month, and a total recovery period of two months. The group knew about this surgery well in advance. Two young ladies in the group were to provide in home help. Four days post surgery, both quit, claiming they were "too busy!" Needless to say, this put me in extreme danger. Also, not one person in our circle contacted me, came to visit, nothing... UNTIL I was out of the woods, and STILL no visits, offers of anything. It was as if nothing had happened. What an eye opener! I was literally in shock. These women claim to be Christians. Instead, they're what what God calls "Pharisees." I have removed myself from the group. However, guess who is now being called "judgemental?" Feedback and opinions welcome 🤗

You did the right thing by removing yourself from fake Christians. The wheat is being separated from the tares and I have had a few eye openers myself within my own family. God is so good to reveal to us who our enemies are so we know what we are dealing with. My husband and I had Covid together and were very sick and weak for 2 weeks. It’s shocking and hurtful but I thanked God for the illness and for revealing things I needed to see.

Husband & I lived 3 years in Rancho Mirage AND IT IS GORGEOUS AREA! I left my heart there! We moved back to NW Ohio to help my mom the last year and a half of her life. I'm not trying to be mean, so please don't take this wrong. My Grandmother went into the missionary field at the age of 60+. It was not sponsored by her church because they didn't believe woman should be ministers... she lived in a little shack with no running water and somehow God provided all her needs according to his word. You have to just trust him. She would walk 16 miles one way to get to a store and get her supplies, food etc.. once a week... she had giant rats that would run inside her "home" . She trusted God and kept spreading his good news to the people in third world countries. She did this for 17 tears of her life. She was almost 80 yrs old when she finally came back to the states.... I'm so proud to say that she was my grandmother. She's in Heaven dancing on the streets of gold in her beautiful mansion. .. .❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙌🏽🙌🏽

I think about Jesus and his walk to the cross too. In fact, just the other day I was actually really thinking about how he was tortured for me… it seriously literally drops me every time! He’s so precious and He took so much pain… for MY sin! He was blameless, but He died such a horrible death for ME… it’s overwhelming sometimes to think about a love that strong. That unconditional. I admit, I break down and cry sometimes when I really let myself imagine what He endured. I’m so glad we are covered by His blood for our sins so we are pure and righteous in our Father’s eyes! What an amazing gift!! I’ve heard it explained this way… you can’t be married to Jesus and date Moses. In other words, you can’t say you believe you are saved by grace through faith in Christ, but live by the law which is what the Israelis had to do before Christ died & rose from the grace. We no longer have to worry about living according to the law. When we put our faith in Christ, we are forgiven and justified. So many people don’t understand that. They feel like they still have to live by the law, but Jesus fulfilled the law on the cross. Anyway, Thank you for being so real and raw explaining your thoughts about our Savior! What a wonderful testimony!!! I’ll probably join you on Patreon because I really want to support what your doing. It’s awesome how many people your reaching! Don't drop an old friend that comes around not as often as you like. Everyone has a story, who are we to judge. I was once told by a friend what is nice about our friendship is, when we connect after long periods, we talk as if we saw each other often. Always keep that door open. God/Jesus wouldn't drop you. The door is always open even when you return, you will be treated as if you had never left. Please be careful of what you share ...... wouldn't want to hurt feelings of others who may see this. I believe it was intended to go this way from the start everyone on KZbin wants to make money and they should. It's just Some people have a problem when it comes to pay to pray. People are very sucked into everything they become sycophants especially if it is somebody famous they will be put on a pedestal and the person running the channel very well knows this and are banking on this happening.

When you have to wait until you get paid again to buy groceries and literally go without, when you have no insurance but have health bills, when gasoline and food prices continue to go up and food supply becomes scarce it’s going to affect the working poor the most which are the middle class. I’m fine with KZbin + patreon, meaning I hope you would still have the free + patreon. There was a knitting/crochet show that cancel culture drove out so now she just does patreon and I can’t afford that right now so can’t see her. I miss watching that so much. I’ve been thinking a lot about relationships too. Seems like I have been unhappy with most “friends.” It seems like some people don’t want to be bothered (at least by me) when they’re going through tough times. Then there’s the good ole Facebook - You’re friends and then something happens or you “get to thinking” (how they’ve “pissed you off” in the past, especially if it’s never been resolved) and you’d kinda’ like to unfriend them but …. Back to patreon, i say do what you need to do to keep afloat is my “opinion” - ha - you mentioned “opinions.” I just saw a poster on Facebook today about opinions. It says, “If there is anything you should stop wearing after age 30, it’s the weight of other people’s opinions.” Like the doll, like it all!

Don’t forget that boundaries are loving. God is the perfect balance between grace and truth, and he sets boundaries against bad behavior for our own good. It is holy to set boundaries in love against another person in your life. It is not only bad for you to let them hurt you, but it is also bad for them. Im not saying you have to go straight to cutting them out of your life, I’m not sure what attempts you have made with boundaries so far. I have found it best to start with creative ideas to set boundaries with the behavior, and if the person is unrepentant or continues there hurtful actions then to bring greater boundaries. Sometimes this does mean, ultimately, cutting the person out of your life. Only you know what stage of that process you are in, but you can’t get healthy if you don’t value yourself enough to stop allowing people to treat you badly.

I have one friend, a couple of acquaintances, people who I see maybe once a year or two and we pick up where we left off, other than that I love my children's company. When you are in crisis it is always a surprise because it always seems like it is someone you would not expect. I have come to think that the reason for this is likely because they are in a position to do so where some other friend may not be and may not want to burden you with why that is. Friends are not always steadfast but it does not mean they are not your friend.
