@@randomxaos may well be. It’s easier to see grasp that reality isn’t physical. This is the hard bit for us. Our society runs on this reality. The brain and body are physical. Even after 100 years since the double slit experiment see how the scientists are still trying to locate consciousness in the brain. Sit back. See your mind thinking. You can actually follow this. We all do. What we don’t do is ask who is watching? That’s the real you. Meditation is just a method to develop it. U can do it while walking,cooking,etc. the immediate benefit is how we will correct our walk,talk,sex(?),thinking and our wasted day. We have known for decades( unless we have given our thinking over to a church, a mullah or leader of some type) that we all -ALL- come from a single cell, biology tells us and shows us, physics tells us that the WHOLE universe was at one time a tiny bit of space containing a lot of energy. The atom bomb proves to us this is possible. Now why is it so hard for us to care,love and help all creatures? Advaita of the upnishads tells us it’s just ignorance. NOTHING ELSE. The gods we look for us are us. You and me. Everything. You might think it’s ten minutes well spent listening to Joseph Campbell talking of the Indra’ net. Listen carefully. Is it just a coincidence that the most religiously indoctrinated countries are the ones to still put up with dictators? Once you accept the hierarchy- god above- it’s a lot easier to look up to people. Look at us in the west. We think we are educated and beyond religiousl nonsense. Now think of all we worship- film stars,rock stars, politicians? Billionaires etc… the disease is strong. It creates Dis Ease. The Buddah, when asked what is he? Answered I AM AWAKE. What do you think he meant? We are all asleep? He didn’t believe in god. Gods yes. U accumulate enough good karmas and u will rise to that position BUT once your karmas are used up u start again in the cycle of birth and death.
