I don’t like how OG mother-in-law treat their DIL. You don’t your DIL but you have to love your son and want him to have a happy & successful life and marriage. My only son dated a Filipino girl since they were 12. Now they are 23, married, have two beautiful little babies. I didn’t like her for a long time but after they got married, I decided I am going to welcome her as a daughter and get to know because my son loves her. I love my son and I want to see him with a happy life, love and marriage because his happiness means more to me than anything else. Now I see what a wonder person she is and what my son sees in her. And now I have two grand babies that melts my heart and have all my love. Don’t punish your kids for your stupidity. They have to choose their own mate/partner in life.

I'm not saying that this guy did wrong but remember that everyone gets old. As a nyab, I am the same situatiin due to different religions. Now I'm older, I learned to ignore the bad and embrace the good. Without my MIL I won't have my husband and who knows how many years he has with her. So I just play stupid and ignore. This must be the O.G way back 1990. Some Hmong parents are so annoying. Niam pog forgot when she first became daughter in-law. How difficult to live with niam pog?
