I’m not familiar with that model but Dynamis and Winkler Knives have teamed up to make some and then have done some on their own. I’m actually carrying the Winkler flathead concealed IWB as I type this. Whatever the maker you want it to be strong steel so that you can use it as a pry bar. There is a knife maker in Texas that has been making a knife and a pry bar for a few years that have similar uses. The knife I’m referring to is slim so that the kydex sheath fits in a column of PALS webbing. The pry bar fits like that as well but is shaped a little more like a 7. Lemme see if I can find the brand.

My biggest question is why he has a radio for an active shooter rig? Who are you taking to? How do you plan on keying up on the radio with it in that pouch?
@HyenaEmpyema11 күн бұрын
In a mass casualty event it's possible for cell service to go down if everyone dials 911and their families simultaneously. I agree that it wouldn't do much good if you didn't have someone else to talk to, so I guess the purpose would be if you had a friend along with you who had the same kit.

haha thanks. brands mostly are mentioned because someone's getting paid to mention them. in the end, it's usually all the same thing - cordura, stitching, shock cord, etc. - and for 1/4 the price. we want you guys to get the info, then get what works for your budget and be prepared. we've seen little dudes in flip-flops work with far less and do quite a bit of damage.

While quality is what everyone is looking for, USA products cost an arm and a leg for something simple! If something affordable is all you can get, get it! Better to have something than nothing at all. You can always upgrade to something better later if possible. 👍

I've been carrying recently, and have a bit more of a robust system in my backpack that I carry with me in my truck. (Folding AR Pistol/Chest Rig) However, my main concern is avoiding conflict with responding officers. I understand calling dispatch ASAP and giving a detailed description of myself, the shooter, and victims, etc...but I was wondering your thoughts on perhaps getting some custom "3 letter patches" to appear more legitimate and set myself apart from the shooter. Or to put it another way, to mentally interrupt any paranoia or overriding mental conditions in said responding officer(s). Definitely not suggesting impersonation of any LE or official agencies, but something that *appears* more official, yet simply references you as a responding armed citizen. Just wondering about the potential legal issues that might could happen during the aftermath. I've seen/heard about some armed citizens getting shot by officers showing up who dont have all the facts, and would like to minimize such risk in the event I find myself in such a situation. Thanks for all you do and keep up the good work!
@AM-KX4 ай бұрын
Being confused with the bad guy(s) is definitely a risk. The clear choice is to move away from the area and get to safety. That's the guidance from us to the general public. If however, a person has skills that can end the violence and save lives, doing so is their call to make. While not advocating impersonating LE, identifying yourself with bold yellow letters that help ID you as a good guy to LE is a great idea and at the same time may help interrupt a bad guy's OODA loop, giving you critical time to end them. Greatly appreciate the comments and your time!

I'm pretty sure that the contents of the "CIA paramilitary operator" (if that even exits) are classified. How would you have that information is a question I'd love to hear an answer from you. If you run to an active shooter situation with a rifle and that kit there's a high chance you're going to get smoked by Law Enforcement when they arrive at the scene.
@AM-KX4 ай бұрын
Hey @marianitosan9759 - Thanks for your comment! I can see how the title might have been a bit confusing. Just to clarify, the video isn't claiming that this is the official kit used by a CIA paramilitary operator, because yes that sort of info would be classified for the most part. Instead, it's a setup put together by a former PMO, illustrating what he would personally choose to grab in an active shooter situation if time allowed and body armor wasn’t available. The goal of the video was to get people thinking critically about their own preparedness and the decisions they might have to make in high-stress situations. The point you brought up about the risk of being mistaken for a threat by law enforcement is definitely a valid and serious concern. That’s why it's so important for each person to weigh the risks and benefits of getting involved in such situations. For those of us who’ve spent a good part of our lives in high-risk environments, it’s a tough call, but it’s also something that we feel strongly about-being prepared to act, even if it involves personal risk. But as you rightly pointed out, that decision comes with its own set of dangers, and it's something everyone has to consider carefully. Really appreciate you taking the time to watch and share your thoughts. That kind of engagement is exactly what we were aiming for with this video. Hope you have a great day!

Who makes the screwdriver?
@AM-KX4 ай бұрын
Hey thanks for watching - the screwdriver is non-metallic (but you know that most likely) so not good for much in the way of prying. It's something we were producing, but it's out of stock. A great replacement option would be anything from Black Triangle - those guys are vet-owned and make solid G10 non-metallic products. You can find 'em here - blktriangle.com/g10-knives/

Where did you get the sheath for the Jimmy bar?
@AM-KX5 ай бұрын
We had it made in-house out of kydex. use .060" for light blades like this (it's zero weight practically since its G10 material), .080" for most others and consider .093 is for holsters and real heavy blades.

If this is in your vehicle and you're in an active shooter situation and have access to your vehicle to get the bag why not just leave the area. #1 priority for in a situation like that is the safety of myself and my family. Too many mf's out here trying to play hero.
@AM-KX5 ай бұрын
If you're by yourself and people are being killed and you have the skills to end it, that's a decision each person must take for themselves. Personally, I couldn't live with myself if I drove away and did nothing. If you're with your family, as mentioned in other comments, get your family to safety first. That's always the priority. Once they're safe, then you're back to the question of looking yourself in the mirror. The world needs heroes. Just be honest about your skills when taking that decision - it could be your last one.

@@AM-KX The RATs get a lot of hate because “they’re not TCCC certified”. I have never personally used one or seen one used (hopefully never have to), but what is your response to those who say only CATs and SOF-Ts are acceptable for serious use due to their certification?
@AM-KX5 ай бұрын
All three work. They will all stop blood flow. But the advantage (and reason we use them) to the RATS is the size and portability of it. You can run it thru your belt loops and have it on you all day and never notice it. The other is the device can be applied to a child's limb or K9 to stop blood flow, whereas the others just don't allow you to get tight enough on small bones, limbs to stop it completely.
@WarriorServantofYah5 ай бұрын
@@AM-KX Thanks for the response. I own 3 myself as they are compact and add no weight, so I would rather have something rather than nothing if I can’t carry a CAT or SOF. A medic once told me that a child or K9 are small enough and don’t have strong / large enough heart muscles to pump blood in ways that would cause an adult to bleed out, so compressing and applying pressure to the wound should be enough to stop the bleeding without a TQ. However, we may not always have the luxury of staying in one place while applying pressure and waiting for a wound to clot. We may have to move quickly or get off the X. So, again, I’d rather have a RATs rather than nothing because it can be applied then allow everyone to be hands-free while retaining the ability to move, instead of having to dedicate precious time and able hands to waiting for a wound to clot in a dangerous area. Even if the RATs can’t be applied tightly, it can at least be used to hold gauze and / or some other clot agent in place without having someone trying to keep constant pressure on the wound whiIe moving - which would not be practical or optimum.
