When we hit countries, we always take out infrastructure. Being able to stay home with food and water supplies for 30 days is the best start. Trouble finds you when you run out of supplies. Food, and water is key. Backup generator makes noise, noise equals trouble. No lights no movement for 30 days.

I think staying put is really the only option. Especially if it's just you or just you and your family. I also want people to know that if you can't afford all this stuff, don't panic. Over time, things will become available and you will be able to leave your house at some point. The most important thing in my mind is the training/skills. If u come across a rifle some place, will you know how to operate it? If you get shot, do you know how to treat your wound? Do you know how to grow food? If you have ever been in the military, have ever worked as medic or fire fighter, have ever backpacked for multiple days, you will be as well prepared as anybody and even more prepared than the rich guy who bought all this stuff and can't use it. Knowledge is the key. Stuff you can always aquire later.

0:26- right off the bat, you don’t need gear, you need KNOWLEDGE. Your mindset and knowledge paired with the creative ability to think outside the box will surpass the best gear. Don’t invest big money into gear when there’s going to be bodies laying all over with plenty of better gear ready for the picking. You need basic equipment and knowledge and that will help you acquire the things you’ll need to survive. I appreciate the work you and your staff do regardless of my little rant. Thanks for all you guys do.

Great and all but if you aren't emphasizing physical fitness, all of this is for nothing. We live in one of the fattest countries on earth (number 12 last I checked), so I'm not really sure why there isn't more talk on being in shape. There was a reason that we had to PT almost every morning in the service and go to the rifle range only a few times a year. PT is life.

100%. I just returned from my second workout of the day. I used to be in amazing shape, but COVID and some other Medical issues really took me down. I’ve avoided death twice now and it sucks to see how far I’ve fallen. I’m in my 50’s and on a number of meds. I can get off most of them once I drop weight, clean up my diet, and get back into serious shape. So many people I know that are into prepping, guns, survival ect…. Are in poor shape as well.

One thing I highly recommend to people who may not have a large prep community in their area. Your local boy scout troop leaders often do trainings that can absolutely help you be more prepared. CPR, First Aid, Wilderness First aid, almost everything you can think of will be readily available to you online through BSA for the $65 adult membership fee. Some folks might even let you come participate in their in person trainings for free. There are also a lot of youtube videos available for what's called "safety moments" through BSA. These will be short informative videos about a specific safety topic that can really help you be prepared for your friends, family, and community.

I watched this video just now and I subscribed. If you are the presenter reading this, you did an outstanding job! I applaud you!!! Your presentation was concise and you did not over speak, just to hear yourself talk. In addition, your calming demeanor was professional and enjoyable. I enjoyed your content material. Many guys who present defensive battle gear come off too cocky for me. It's like they have to prove their manlyhood or bravado. It's not necessary. If anyone has to promote how bad ass they are, then most likely they are not. (Not always a true statement, because I've seen real bad ass cocky guys as well, who can back their attitude up. 😂) Thank you for putting this together. Many of us have plate carriers with no plates, for one reason or another. A recommendation, another great video would be to explain the different plate options. (More than you did) talking about different cut options, sizes, etc., that will fit other people's plate carriers. Not everyone who watches your channel has a military background. Speak to the average Joe, or Jose, or Judy or G.I.Jane, in Laymen Terms and Lay-Women Terms, American Patriots. I wanted to be inclusive, because, there are many tough hard core women out there who can out shoot and out fight several men. Yes, I've seen it.

The last part of the vid is the most important. First part just publicity. Investing so much in the moment the civilization stops working, but not in investing making it work is a sure way to make it fail. So how about forming a tribe with people around you (neighborhood), engaging in communal politics (where you can change something), repairing potholes (you don’t need a truck anymore), giving homeless people some food, if they help clean playgrounds (and give them a meaningful small occupation) etc. Such a tribe will form a much stronger community that is able to protect itself from much more than the end of civilization. If the world ends I will look for somebody who has all things You showed and whack him from behind with my tribe, because he is alone and has no eyes on the back of his head…It’s just stuff that costs and you can loose faster then it takes to hold it. Usually I look what happened after the hurricane in New Orleans: when it happens, You are at work, maybe Your house and/or car is already blown away or flooded, police blocks the streets in that direction and You can`t reach home…what then? You wish then to have a bunch of friendly people you can reach and that are willing to help you.

He and other channels used to be very honest/informative 5+ years ago. Avoid videos with the clichéd yellow/white text in the thumbnails. All of the important information has already been said a decade ago. Many prepper channels went the way of men's fashion channels ~ same crap, different year, just rephrased and optional over-the-top facial expressions to appease KZbin overlords. Everything in this video is a regurgitation of basic common sense. Odds are that if you didn't see this video then most of the gear shown would've been in your stash already or very soon.

I thought just posting a sign that says "gun free zone" was enough for safety. :P For people that can't afford much (a few hundred dollars at most), I'd recommend a Rock Island Armory .38 Special revolver. If you can't afford lots of ammo to practice much, and want a simpler, low cost, but reliable gun, it is a good choice for close quarters. $260, plus a box of ammo, so around $300 total. One handgun significantly increases your chances of survival as opposed to having no gun at all, but hoping and imagining that someday you will afford $1,500+ for an AR, with optics, extra magazines, and plenty of practice ammunition too. If you can't afford the .38 Special, a framing hammer can be effective too. Your first prep in my opinion however, would be storing some drinking water and getting a life straw, along with medicine for illnesses, and some nuts (long shelf life and don't require cooking.

Why not an AR9 or carbine that takes Glock mags alongside a Glock? That way you can focus on only carrying one type of ammo and you also have magazine compatibility between both firearms. Living in urban areas, it’s doubtful that you’ll need the longer range capability of 5.56 considering engagements will most likely be within 50-70 yards. I know it’s better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. But just something to consider. What are your thoughts on this as an option?
