Well Said! That's the way we All should be toward John, given the Shabby and Unforgivable Treatment that John received, at the hands of "Our Government" as they went about Zealously Protecting Their Toadies, and Hiding Their Own Guilt. I wonder if John is seeking redress for his scandalous treatment, By Our Government, From Our Government....In Cold Hard Cash? It wouldn't put John's Life and Reputation back in order, but at least he wouldn't be a payday away from Welfare, Medicaid and Food Stamps. 40+ years ago I got hurt by a Bull in an "Open Rodeo" I had Several Busted Ribs,a Tweaked Back, Pulled Groin and other fun stuff, and I simply couldn't do what I did at the time, Bull and Bronc Riding, Rough Stock Breaking, plus Horse Training for a living. I was all but Destitute,(A friend gave me a place to stay. It wasn't the Ritz, but it was Warm, or Cool, as the weather dictated, also Dry, and Best Of All, Free. since Rodeoing for all but the Best is a "catch as catch can" way of making a "Sometimes" Living, and Missed Meal Cramps are a very real possibility/Probability. Even unhurt there were time I lived on Coca Cola and Cheese and Peanut Butter Crackers, out of a vending machine, or gotten OTC at Gas stations between Rodeo Town. I was young and healthy(Most Of The Time) and I could live on it for short periods of time, but Long Term that crap will kill you. After I had lived at my friend's place for whatever time it took to qualify, I applied for and got Food Stamps, being Poor But Proud, I refused to even consider Welfare, but I had to eat. So Food Stamps It Was. As I remember, I got around $70.00 a month. It wasn't that much, but even in my 20s, I could Cook. My Mama and Father instilled Independence in all 3 of us kids, and I was smarter than all the "Cookin is Wimmens Work" Bubbas, because My Dad insisted(at age 7 he told me "Any man who has a chance to learn to cook, especially from a woman that can cook like your Mama and doesn't, is a Damned Fool, and I'd never want my Father to think me a Fool) So I learned to cook Mama's in Special way. Not Fancy Cuisine, just Good Old Southern Grits and Groceries Cooking, complete with Cornbread and Cat Head Biscuits & Gravy. Cooking wasn't the problem. Having Something to cook was a problem & until I healed up, I survived on Food Stamps and the odd invite for Home Cooked Meals, from a Few Buckle Bunnies, aka Honky Tonk Specials that I knew from previous "Rodeo Or Horse Show Run Ins". You can bet your New Stetson Stockman that, just as soon as I could Fork a saddle & earn a check, I quit Food Stamps, and never looked back. I know being Ashamed of having to take advantage of something that is specifically designed to "Help" those in my type of situation, doesn't make sense to a lot of people, but it's a Real Thing, and I didn't like the feeling one little bit, so I know John had "Pride" Issues with taking Food Stamps, like most Independent Men and Women do. It's a Humbling Thing, for Anybody who has to Stand In Line, With Your Hand Out(Figuratively) for Any type of Government Largess. It's just easier for some than it is for others, even though they Know it's only Temporary. I'm 74 now and still walk a little funny, and it takes me a While to limber up enough to get out of bed & Stand up Straight, especially on Cold mornings, courtesy of Uncle Sam and my Misspent Youth, spent chasing "Pick Up" Rodeos. Racing Stables, Breaking & Training Colt Crops for Ranchers, Riding rough stock for buying and selling operations, all over, under, around and through America. Even at my advanced age, I still have a big problem asking Anybody for Help of any sort, and I don't doubt that John suffers from a similar(Mental) affliction. He's much younger than I am, but I can tell him Truthfully that It Ain't Ever Gonna Get Any Better. An old Cowboying Partner told me a long time ago, Hell, you're so stiff about not asking for any help, "you'll Bitch the whole time your casket is being carried by 6 Cowboys(I Hope) to your grave, telling them you could figure out a way to do it your own damn self, if they'd just set you down a minute" Now, Personally, I don't think he was right about me being stubborn and Independent. I believe he was Exaggerating, like Cowboys do, but I will admit that I was Raised doing things on my own, and I saw no good reason to change that as I grew up, and at this late date in life, I still see no reason to change. My Kids keep saying that they "Worry" and I keep telling them not to, rinse and repeat

I'm very conflicted on the CIA's "extreme rendition" program. I served in the US Army as an infantryman and deployed to Iraq in 05 and I can tell you first hand the people we're fighting will do and have done MUCH MUCH worse than waterboarding to any of us if given the chance. That being said though, that's 1 of the reasons we've been fighting them for over 20 years. I also know that physical violence is the worst thing you can do to combat idealistic terrorism for the simple fact that you kill 1 and 10 more pop up to avenge the 1 you killed. At the same time, you cannot fight a war without intelligence and trust me, the threat of the American prison system is not going to scare these guys into talking. One thing I do know though is that the CIA is a very shady entity by nature. The fact that the top people are appointed is a huge red flag in my opinion. The war I fought in is a perfect example of that. Bush told the director what he wanted and all of a sudden they had so called "proof" of WMDs and a relationship with Al-Qaeda.
@mrsinister89432 жыл бұрын
I remember watching a video years ago telling how axis soldiers in WW2 were terrified of falling into the hands of the Russians and would go out of their way to surrender to the Americans or British cause they knew they would be treated alot more humane. America had the moral high ground and its one of the reasons we became so powerful during and after WW2 and getting all those German scientists to come to the USA instead of Russia or other countries. While I don't have a problem making prisoners uncomfortable and trying to extract information it's been proven that torture just doesn't really work very well cause people will end up just making stuff up or lying. I think having that moral high ground is important and not stopping down to the terrorists level or other brutal regimes. Taking the high road and showing the next generation of Arab fighters that we aren't monsters and we aren't the great Satan is important in minimizing radicalism. The scandals in Iraq with our troops doing all kinds of depraved and terrible things to inmates really is counterproductive and alot of those inmates were innocent.
@whitketchum2 жыл бұрын
That's not the point. The second you sink to their level you are no better than your enemy. John McCain a victim of torture knows better than anyone it's not right. We as a country aren't innocent in the war
@bradkempton79052 жыл бұрын
@@whitketchum you're right. I didn't say I was an advocate for the torture program, I just said I have mixed emotions about it. Do I think torture works? No, not really. I mean, yeah they'll end up talking, but a lot of the time they'll just tell you what you want to hear to make it stop. At the same time though, I can't feel bad for the legit true believers like KSM after seeing everything I saw. We are without a doubt not innocent in the wars. The entire Iraq war was for bullshit reasons and illegal as hell and like I said you can't kill yourself out of an insurgency, killing just creates more enemies. I will point out though, Islamic extremists declared war on the U.S. long before we started actively fighting them based on little more than our ideals and way of life. I've looked into the eyes of a few extremists and I promise you that you'll see a hatred you never thought possible.

So this guy Johnny K who professes to be the smartest guy in the world, “my wife and I will be running this place in the future”? Why then did he not come up with another way to get critical information other than water boarding? You have an extremely radical Islamist militant organization called Al-Qaeda very happy and willing to die in a second to start a global Islamist revolution uniting the Muslim world under a supra world dominating national Islamic caliphate. These guys are not afraid of anything, if you forgot go watch the video’s of 9/11,or better yet google Zawahiris-Letter-to-Zarqawi 2005 October letter. One read of this letter anyone would agree we got a big problem. I’d say water boarding isn’t a bad idea to for getting ultra critical information that leads to the destruction of our most dangerous and greatest enemy. The real Hero’s are things and stories that really happen in the CIA and nobody knows about them. Like the one with “Tom”. Not this lib who can tell a story and appear to be the nicest guy in the world. Well I’m going to call my ex-Army friend and have a few beers, good luck with your tea and Yoko tomorrow.

As far as the cia being behind Kennedys assassination, if that possibility, in this day & age is still a question in anyones mind, I would recommend that you watch “Americas Hideous Past & Sinister Future.” There’s about a 30+ min. part, describing in very specific & non-vague detail, who the players were behind the scenes that orchestrated the murder of our President. Most names, you will have heard of before e.g. George H. Bush (Sr.) Woody Harrelson’s father (a known assassin & seedy cohort/associate to the mafia of that era) mafia bosses, oil barons, Lyndon Johnson & so on. A part of the reasoning why, after watching it for myself, was based on the fact that the narrator does names the names of several people who couldn’t be of a higher stature, at the time when the events that took place occurred. Coupled with obviously seeing how apparently not a single one of them, or any members of their camps, seemed to pushback against the accusations put forth, that they were directly involved in the murdering of a sitting U.S. President! That fact alone, to me, seems very telling, and somewhat of an indicator as to one’s possible guilt or at a minimum, their association with exactly what the documentary offers up as the untold conspiracy behind the assassination of JFK.

Naming 20 or 30+ first & last names, who were purportedly involved in one way or another, in the murder of JFK. Democracy died on that day. Assuming it wasn’t a pipe dream from the start. No, John's not a dumbass and he is legally correct... knowing to expose situations when unlawful, though the Judiciary is malicious more than most realize in their euphemistic grandiose delusion. Whomever considers would get thrown out of his Embassy window in Berlin or wherever and found dead if they even considered to do that to John. Society doesn't require Pan Troglodyte trait human looking inbreeds, narcotics or whatever irreversibly brain damaged sexual deviants from their Latin Rites insurgencies leading society and degrading, eroding and degenerating the U.S. Jurisdictions. Unfortunately, they're insurging into the legislature as well with their not only U.S. American citizens that might not be registered foreign agents. Morons aren't capable of iterating through all the Constitutional and Statutory Laws before making conclusions... and they're leading gaywad jihad brute force.

It was probably an Obama backdoor deal. I'm not going to speak about what I encountered in Baghdad over the youtubes. But I will say this, Our Government overlooked houses full of young boys that were being held as sexual slaves for Iraqi officials the whole time we were there and never batted an eye when we found them multiple time on night raids. That was only one of many things we found and were told to forget it and never speak of. I've probable already said too much.

The layers to the CIA at all levels. Is Damn impressive at times!
@bradkempton79052 жыл бұрын
One thing he isn't mentioning about safe houses not being raided was the fact that in the very beginning, our capabilities to do that were nothing compared to what they are now. The military was a "peace time military" and the only DoD units certified to do those type of missions were Delta, SEAL team 6 and a few other units in small numbers and they were a lot less than there are now and the few that were there were controlled by risk adverse peace time commanders. Every book I've read about the beginning talks about how commanders were ordered to keep American personal at a minimum and to use them sparingly to put a "local face" on the war. They also didn't have the logistical network needed for a large footprint.
