Thank you for the concern, but I always take things like that into account when I make videos. This isn't my neighborhood.

You know shit's about to go down when Micaela ends the video, but there are still 10 seconds of footage left. Which I lolled HARD at. I can happily say your channel is the one channel I heartily look forward to. So much Micaela love, oh my.
@Nooklet It's the Canon Kiss X5. I had to sell Ryuhei in order to afford it.

@KumaKun The panty machines are reallly rare, I think I've only seen one in Kyushu, but yeah, cigarrettes are sold everywhere out in the open but you need a TASPO card (I think that's what they are called?) that you apply for that certifies that you are the proper age, before you can make a purchase from the machines. Most of the kids at my school who smoke say they just buy them at the registers in stores because the cashiers won't check for ID.

@ItsRobinWhoTalks Haha. Thanks for the question, but I don't really watch Anime or Dorama or anything. I liked Pokemon a lot when I was like, in the 7th grade.. but that aspect of Japanese culture doesn't really make it's way into my daily life...

Lol... it seems to me that the vending machines in Japan have a wider variety than those in North America. All I ever see in the NA ones are snacks, drinks and candy. I've seen Japanese vending machines that sold sushi and even hot food like pizza and katsu. I love how a lot of jidou-hanbaiki accept IC cards like Suica and Passmo- makes it easy to pay your JR fare and then pick up a nice bottle of midori-cha. Of all the countries I've visited I think Japan has by far the best vending machines.

Yes, there are alcohol vending machines and tobacco, but the tobacco ones require a special ID thing. The alcohol ones don't need an ID, but they are usually found inside hotels and stuff. There aren't many on the streets.

I just thought it would be handy for Americans in Japan to have "Thanksgiving Day" flavored beverages. 1. Turkey with Gravy. 2. Ham and Pumpkin Pie. 3. Herb Stuffing. 4. Lime Jello Surprise.

I have also tried that pancake drink. To me, it was more like a maple syrup flavor than anything, but I tried it cold. I wonder if it would have been better hot?
Omg! When I went to Tokyo last year finding the "Pancake Juice" as we called it in a vending machine was like the ultimate prize. It's such a rare spawn.

Really sweet = understatement. I couldn't stomach that either. I always like to try things so I sample everything in my vicinity when I'm traveling abroad. The soy milk is usually a safe bet, if you care for it. When you were pouring that ghastly looking chunky concoction out of the can I had to look away. Some things are better left a mystery.

Hmmmm, maybe "hotcakes" and "pancakes" ARE the same thing...but I wasn't sure you had seen that on the can. Now that I watch your vid again, I realized that you said "hotto-kekii" in Japanese, so, obviously you DID catch it. Now I am so jazzed to look for that pudding flavored one in my area! Sounds gross but it is a great photo op. I am in Shizuoka city. Ganbarimasho!

I really want to know, is Japan as expensive as a lot of people say????... Love your video!:D
I love these Vending machines in Japan. What's so cool is that they're even in remote locations, where there aren't any combini's around. Too bad, these types of vending machines wouldn't last in some other countries, without them being vandalized. :( It would've been cool to have them around. :) さいきん、 へんなのコメントだよ。
