Ciao engine overhaul - Ciao restoration Piaggio R2 white - Part 4

In this fourth part we will dedicate ourselves to overhauling the engine and carburetor of our Moped.
A non-original petrol tap will be mounted on our Ciao R2, waiting to find an original one from the 70s in working order
As always we will do all the work inside my garage, always being careful to keep expenses low, using simple and cheap equipment.
The video shows the phases of the work one step at a time, so you can clearly see the progress achieved, but if you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to write it in the comments it will be my privilege to answer. Good vision✌️

Ciao Francesco scusa ma a me le domande sorgono sempre dopo 😅, comunque volevo chiederti, anche questo cilindro per pulirlo avevi usato il metodo dell’aceto come quello dell’r2 giallo? No perché è venuto bellissimo e volevo farlo anch’io solo che ho notato che su alcuni pezzi che avevo pulito con aceto la ruggine si è rifatta un po’

Ciao Michele!!!!🤗 L'aceto toglie la ruggine ma è normale che se non trattato qualsiasi materiale ferroso tende a prendere la ruggine. Alternativa ai trattamenti chimici come la zincatura può essere la vernice...oppure semplicemente tenerli lubrificanti con del WD40 Questo cilindro probabilmente era stato meno aggredito dalle intemperie dell'altro 😉✌️

Nice Video, well done! But the cut at 6:50 where the crankshaft suddenly is completely in the motor housing. Only very few people show this without a cut in the video. Probably for a good reason :)

Ho Stefan you are tight! excellent observation! I can reveal mine to you even if it's true to me in a bit ... while I was pushing the tree I touched the crankcase and I got burned ... so much was the pain that I made everything fall!😵‍💫🤣

@@VINTAGEPASSION holy shit, I didn't think of that and hope it stopped hurting. I thought it didn't fit right in, at least that happens sometimes when put an engine together. I then try again with more heat on the case and cold spray on the crankshaft and really try hard to get it in perfectly straight... but at some point, when I just cant get it right and it still resists to just fit in.. I just go "fek it" and get an aluminum pipe and a hammer and make it fit😅 🥴I know, totally amateur and very embarrassing, but so far the engines been running 😂
