The ending of the chicken quest is my favorite in the entire game. Like you keep thinking it's going to be a fakeout or they're gonna pull back at the last second, but nope! That lady cut that chicken's head off and grilled it. And the best part of all; even though they are acting all disturbed, the Grandma's dialogue pretty much confirms that both Cloud and Red definitely ate some. Like, they're not happy about what happened here, but they're not gonna NOT eat the chicken, that would just be wasteful.

Prioritise radiant ward over anything else. Aerith will be completely immune as long as she's channeling a spell inside it. Arcane ward next, once you have both, she'll double cast while being absolutely unstoppable. Add synergy-comet to that and it's basically Armageddon

Feed clanger works irl. I work at a friends chicken farm. One of the flocks I use a clanger to bring them out into the field. Theyre free range but they will follow me wherever I go so its nice to lure em out and close the door to the flock temporarily to collect all the eggs without a chicken mosh pit following me lol.

Just re-throw the tin and the chicken will start following Cloud again. I used this for the third chicken and it worked.

He's doing as much of the side content as possible. So you're going to see a LOT more side questing and mini games. He's *significantly* further. Last stream he reached the point of no return in the game, and is now doing all the other side content first before proceeding. So you can expect some future parts to be basically 100% mini games, battle arena etc.

Gongaga represents an audible shift in how the player navigates Rebirth. A lot of quests lead into bespoke mini games, and exploration requires navigating Gongaga's significantly more complex geography, which I feel has diminishing returns on wanting to invest time and effort into them. The quests aren't *bad* per se (I'm a diehard for the chicken quest cuz it's simple, contained, and silly) but it feels like a lot of "why am I doing this/why is this taking so long (Zhijun never shutting up kinda feels like that)?" Especially since this is the first time the Protorelic quest is just a mundane story-related bit instead of something goofy. Hell, there's such a huge whiplash between the previous few regions' PR quest and this one it almost feels like these kinda quests weren't meant for Protorelic stuff because of how serious they're taken.

I know they're not doing DLC for Rebirth, but it would've been neat if they did a Cid DLC for it to set up Rocket Town, and a Vincent DLC after part 3 for a reimagining of Dirge of Cerberus since they folded Advent Children/geostigma into the remake

I remember morphing tonberries into ribbons (immune to all neg status effects) you have to reduce them to low hp before morphing them which is quite hard to gauge in OG.

Love Max’s enthusiasm for FF7 Rebirth & Final Fantasy 7 in general. I’m addicted to watching the play throughs because I’m invested in the story from Remake but I don’t want it spoiled. FF7 Rebirth is infuriating because like Max said all the side quests are fun so can’t rush through them but I want to see what happens next story wise & I haven’t had the time to finish it yet.

Yeah, that was the same for me, but when I got to chapter 13, I decided I needed to finish the game before YT or Google spoils it for me. The only things I have left are Gilgamesh and hard modes for minigames, then a hard mode run.

Oh man, tell me about it. I’m 95 hours in and still in Nibelheim, haven’t even caught a Chocobo or done any quest yet. I just wanna continue with the story and see what happens but those quests man, they’re just so damn fun. I have to force myself just doing a few (catching a chocobo, getting the summon, Combat Simulator and the life stream crystals) and leave the rest for after I finish the game.

90 hours in and I'm almost done with all side content in cosmo canyon. Definitely a 100 hour game if yr looking to do everything.
