Evening Doc! I’ll admit now, I’m no cider drinker but the process of making it intrigues me. We’re more bitter drinkers up here as were not known for much traditional cider making. Then again, I’m more larger and whiskey when I do indulge 🤣🤦♂. Looking forward to seeing how you get on 👍

Great video Dr. Phil! Not much expertise in cider making here. Glad you've brought up the Keeving process for me to look into. Would have been interesting to see your usual method side-by-side with the keeving method. Hopefully, better conditions for apples next year. Lovely dog you have there. Looking forward to learning more from you channel. Thanks for the video!

Glad you liked it. I was worried it might come over as a bit too in-depth.. But sometimes it's good to get some more detail. Thanks very much for you interest.

Hi Dr Phil another enjoyable vid as always, and although I don't drink cider myself much prefer real ale/bitter, do find the process very interesting and I hope the keeving goes to plan mate.

My problem is I like cider and ale! Thanks very much for the comments. I'll report on the keeving in the future, whether its a success or otherwise.

Fascinating video is it true if you have pear trees growing among the apple trees and you use the apples for cider because they have cross pollinated it makes the cider milder and sweeter or does it make no difference ps really like the Massey 👍
@BusywithDrPhil2 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul, I't is the case that if flowering occurs at the same time a pear can pollinate an apple. We know that pollination does affect some physical characteristics of the fruit so perhaps what you suggest could be possible.

@@BusywithDrPhil thanks for the reply this is putting me in the notion of a wee bottle of cider the next time I'm out🙂
