i was failing chem (literally) in year12 and i hated it more than anything. i started watching ur videos to prepare for my mocks and god it made everything seem so much easier. now chem is my favourite subject in y13 and im predicted an A* i cannot thank u enough.

a quesion: at 43:41 the concentration of weak base is increasing so shouldn't the equilibrium shift to the right to lower the concentration?
@Brainiac517 күн бұрын
When we add a base, OH-, to a buffer The position of equilibrium shifts to the left, because additional OH- ions combine with NH4+ ions to form more NH3 and H20, until equilibrium is re-established. If the position of equilibrium moved to the right it would further increase the conc. of OH- ions.

Isn’t the dissociation of sodium ethanoate not an equilibrium reaction as it fully dissociates. 36:25

sir at 1:11:20 wont the concentation of A in water should be equal to 0.1/80 because total solution was 100 cm3

Maybe it’s aqueous solution

Read the question more carefully, it says "100cm^3 of solution was shaken with 20cm^3 of ether". The "total" volume of the two immiscible solvents was 120cm^3. So allery is correct here.
