Last summer I was backpacking in Canada with a group from Belgium. I had only recently discovered this band and had been listening to their songs on the more quiet moments. The end of the trip was in sight and we had a week left before we had to head back home again. We stayed at a youth hostel which was known for its parties in Gaspésie. In the kitchen I met a Colombian girl who was also traveling. We talked a while and later that night we were looking for each other. We spent the entire night together and saw the sunset and sunrise together. We were both intoxicated from rum and cokes. When we left she told me she lived in Montreal and I had the chance to still see her cause that was where our trip would end. The last night in Canada I stayed over at her place, we made love and we both felt very weird and cried our hearts out cause we knew I had to go the next day and we would never see each other again. The goodbye was heartbreaking and I had never felt so empty when I had left her. I remember listening to this song countless times on the plane trying not to cry and to picture the memories in my head. There is no other song in the world that could describe that feeling as much as this one does. One week later I booked a ticket back to Montreal. We're doing a long-distance relationship right now and we've flown across the ocean 5 times in total so far. Fuck, I love this girl. Sorry for the mellow story KZbin. Had to do it.

A fine, romantic story... I hope it has a happy ending for you. Long distance relationships are always quite difficult... but they can be passionate. However, even if things don't develop the way you'd hope in the long run, at the very least, you had this moment in time -- one that will likely carry meaning for you for the rest of your life.
