I once drove 18 hrs straight after working a 12 hr shift just to go see my ex in Denver. As tired as I was and how she wanted me to sleep and rest, I told her I wanted to spend every waking moment with her. I met my wife in high school. We tried making a long distance relationship work. It took us 2 years until we could move in with each other and not be apart. That was over 30 years ago. is it just me or does this song make anyone else feel incredibly sad? love songs like these make me sad because i don't feel like anyone will ever love or view me like that (when i can't even love myself). i know relationships aren't important and you can easily be happy without being in one but it'd be nice to feel reciprocated unconditional, geninue love. i'm probably a little too young to feel so hopeless but it'd be nice for someone to finally love you, or just finally not be a second choice. (it's selfish but it'd just be so great to finally not be "the second choice" or just "not good enough" for someone.)
