Also madhubala died at the peak of her career so who knows how much she would have achieved if she stayed alive. Aishwarya, after doing so many movies and being so popular has movies that can be counted on one hand that i can say have a good performance by her. Also you don't get to tell me to shut up. If you can't handle criticism, you need to toughen up as the world is not going to dance to your tunes and agree with you all the time.

The real novel was totally different from the movie and as an epic novel of ravi tagore there is no chance that there will be any kind of happy ending. In real novel the characters portrayed by Mahindra, Binodini, Asha and bihari was magnificent. My all time faviourate novel after Sharatchandra's shrikanto

Well, read the original novel by Tagore. Nothing physical happened between Binodini and Mahendra. He beautifully pens the frustration and longing of a widow who by all means is well suited to be the lady of the house but star crossed, all the while trying to be righteous. Mahendra tries hard to be righteous too but fails ultimately, the movie doesn't do any justice with Tagore's original novel, but since it is next to impossible to show in a film what Tagore makes you feel in his writings so probably they changed so many things in the script to make a film. There's a reason Rabindranath Tagore is considered a legend. He won't write this rubbish which lacks morality.

@@aryastark111 it is a very very complex story. There was no explicit cheating nor ever any sex. Definitely no sex between mahendra and binodini. Yes there was a very powerful attraction between them because both of them shared the same thirst for intellect and all that so they were attracted to each other like moth to the flame but binodini never gave in fully and the husband and wife lives happily ever after in the end.
