Dave Morales sits down with ANTHROPOID stars Cillian Murphy & Jamie Dornan in this backstage interview to talk about their knowledge of the story behind the film, working on their accents, and training for the film.
Synopsis:
ANTHROPOID is based on the extraordinary true story of “Operation Anthropoid,” the code name for the Czechoslovakian operatives’ mission to assassinate SS officer Reinhard Heydrich.
Heydrich, the main architect behind the Final Solution, was the Reich’s third in command behind Hitler and Himmler and the leader of Nazi forces in Czechoslovakia. The film follows two soldiers from the Czechoslovakian army-in-exile, Josef Gabčík (Cillian Murphy) and Jan Kubiš (Jamie Dornan), who are parachuted into their occupied homeland in December 1941. With limited intelligence and little equipment in a city under lockdown, they must find a way to assassinate Heydrich, an operation that would change the face of Europe forever.

MissJools11 she didn’t know he was Irish. That’s why she said “the fifty shades guy doesn’t have an American Accent??” She was surprised that’s all, because his American accent is so good she didn’t think twice about him being a non American.

Just watched the movie. I had no idea on how brave these men were. We couldn’t come close to the men they were…… it’s a sad commentary that their sacrifice isnt taught to every child in school.
