I am very much impressed with the kind of demonstration you have shown from the Scratch (physical server and their port connections) and then step wise demo to configure the CIMC till ESXI image upload. It is very helpful for beginners and will generate some confidence in them while working on these systems. Thank you so much for this video, I really appreciate you efforts on this.

Thank you so much Arnold! I deployed two of these and your video is the reason I was able to complete the setup and to get it pinging from the management switch. Thank you so much and keep on teaching us. GOD BLESS brother!

Awesome video!! 👏 I have a Question: I need to re-ip my CIMC due to network changes, can this be done via the gui? If not, how should I proceed setting up the new mgmt ip without rebooting? Thanks
@CloudywithArnold4 ай бұрын
Thank you The answer is yes you can change it from GUI In the side menu go to Admin and network section then you can change to new ip and save You’ll be able to access CIMC from new ip

Thank you so much.. very informative video. One question, I thought that Cisco servers come with some preinstalled ESXi version.

Hi Arnold, thanks for your videos!! I have a quick question about cimc access using gui. I did a regular cimc configuration and now, I'm trying connect the cimc gui. Based on your video, I need a switch configured and plugged in a network. In my case, I have one brand new switch and one brand new ucs m6. Is there any way to access the cimc gui using this new switch without network? Appreciate if you can answer my question.

Hi @puchiyam, Sure, you can do it. Here are the steps: 1. Create a VLAN, for example, VLAN 2 with the network 192.168.2.0/24. 2. Configure 192.168.2.2 as your switch IP. 3. Connect one Ethernet cable to your CIMC port and another port to your PC. Assign a static IP to your PC, and one IP for CIMC. On your switch’s both ports switchport access vlan 2 Switch port mode access for both ports connected to your PC and CIMC. You’ll be able to access CIMC in your browser. Best of luck!

Hello, Thank you for the request! Currently, I'm immersed in creating a Proxmox cluster and TrueNAS storage series consisting of 5 episodes. Following that, I've just set up a DMZ lab based on your request. I'll be sure to make a post when I'm ready to produce a video for your specific request. Stay tuned for more exciting content!
