Yes, Conan is a fiction! But Cimmerians were a Scythian-related nomadic groups that inhabitated Central-Asia for long! Recently read a book about the Chinese statelets and the Northern Barbarians in the period of 1400-300BC, there the Cimmerians were mentioned by early Chinese dynasties since the Xia, Shang and the Zhou dynasties historical records as Xunyu, Guifang and Xianyun-and they claim them to be the direct ancestors of the early Huns, the Xiongnu tribe! Prokopius a Byzantine chronist said also that the Huns were once known asd Cimmerians! Confucius mentioned them as a tribe that had settled at the edge of the Gobi-dessert since 350 years, ie. since the 9th century BC. The first section of the late great Wall of China was build against them! The Cimmerians were the original bearers of the Karasuk-culture! They are proto-Huns, Xiongnu! Believe it or not!

Friedrich Kass well were the historical cimmerians of Caucasian origin, like they are portrayed in conan comics and movies?or they were mongoloid origin? I even heard people saying that even the huns who invaded Europe was more Caucasian than mongoloid. Is it also true?

Thanks for your comment! I extensively researched on the Huns true origin, they were CIMMERIANS!!! A vast number of Huns were actually called back in the bronze-age as Cimmerians! Also very ancient Chinese sources tell that the people known to the Zhou-dynastie as Xianyun or Hsienyün is actually a transcription of the Cimmerians own name! You can read that on Wikipedia: Xianyun! The Cimmerians settled at the Chinese-Mongolian border region, where the Altay-Sayan mountain range lay as earlier as the 1st millenium BC or even before as they were mentioned by the Shang proto-Chinese dynastie as big threat to them! The Shang kings give to the Guifang( which is an earlier form of the Xianyun, ie. Cimmerians name in that sources)their daughter to marry! Around 840 BC, the Cimmerians invaded the Ordos-region, where the Yellow-river flow in modern-day Chinese province Shaanxi and continually harrasing the Chinese farmer population in that area! 823BC, the first incursion against Zhou is recorded! They have left such a marked event in the Chinese history! An ancient Chinese poem, which was excavated in 1980 near the Chinese city Xian tells about the Xianyun-Zhou conflict! Finally the Cimmerians sucked and burned the Zhou capital at Hao, where the Wei river lay and killed the Zhou king You Wang in 771BC, which marked the end of the Chinese western-Zhou dynastie and the beginn of the eastern-Zhou dynastie which were relocated far away from the nomadic heartland in to the city of Luoyang! Xuan Wang, who was then the king of the Zhou ordered his commander to build a section or a defence wall against the Cimmerians aka Xianyun incursions in to heartland of the Zhou domain! Late Chinese historian Sima Qian as well Fu Chien equated the late Xiognu or Huns as the direct descendants of the Xianyun, ie. the Cimmerians! After 771 BC, the Cimmerians mixed with Siberian tribes to form the core tribes of the Huns! it is all written down in ancient Chinese sources! The Huns origin is Cimmerians!
