Cimorelli 2020 Cover Vocal Range: Eb3-Bb5-C6

Well here's the vocal range video for Cimorelli covers in 2020! The vocals were kinda lacking this year ngl, especially the low notes, but we still got some good belts and head voice notes. Also, a lot of the harmonized super low notes sounded pitched down and didn't sound like any of the girls so I didn't include them.

Christina: G#2-G5-E6 (3 octaves, 4 notes)
Katherine: C3-F#5-F6 (3 octaves, 2 notes, and a semitone)
Lisa: Bb2-B5/C6-A6 (3 octaves, 5 notes and a semitone)
Amy: G#2-G#5-F6 (3 octaves, 4 notes and a semitone)
Lauren: F#3-A5-C7 (3 octaves, 3 notes)

I wish lauren would showcase her voice more tbh! She has such an unique tone and I can’t help but think she has a whistle register but is a bit insecure to try it out/use it as well as some other “risky” notes that we’ve only seen her do a couple times. I don’t know if it’s just me but she sounds more.. confident (?) in her solo stuff than with the band, which I find quite interesting as it appears to me that each of the girls has some kind of vocal role and the head voice always falls on her. I would love to see her belt more and the other girls (especially christina) experiment with their upper notes more frequently. She does make great use of her range though.

yeah I'm really tired of the typical "Lauren sings the first chorus or post-bridge in breathy emotional falsetto" its boring! And Lauren has such a bright, full voice I don't understand the desire to make it breathy and quiet. Even in her solo covers she does this though, like her cover of my tears ricochet or viva la vida. I do think she belts a lot though. It's just that most of the songs they covered this year didn't really have a lot of high belting in them or even mid-belting, but when they did she did it like 60% of the time

Amy and Kath definitely stepped up this year but I miss Christina on the G5s 😭 They gotta stop relying on Lisa for the notes above G5 because I KNOW at least two of them can hit at the very least a G#5. Stop making Lauren do all the falsettos. I'm glad they're kinda evening up the lows, but that's because there's not many lows anyway

tbh I'm okay with just Lisa above G5 since everyone else sounds pretty strained and squeaky up there, but F5-G5 I want more Christina!!!! she was pregnant this year though so I'll give her a pass

@@cimorellivocals9149 I don't want them to do every note above G5. Like, if they have 10 songs with notes above G5, maybe at least one with Laur. They do sound squeaky, yeah, but idk i'd just love to hear more than Lisa up there. And I miss F5-G5 Chris so much, but at least we got a lot of Eb5 E5 Chris this year

ngl, they have been getting progressively more boring vocally as far as the covers. 2017-2018 was very good for them but they’ve fallen into this formula of very similar things going on and it’s not very captivating

the two exceptions to this would be i love me and king of my heart i think, Lisa hasn’t done B♭5s or falsetto C6s in a while and Lauren was back doing F5 belts

hmm ok maybe the HSM medley as well, multiple Lauren F5s plus a G5 and a Lisa G♯5, all on all i wish Lauren and Christina would go back to sharing belts with Lisa and Amy do her lows. having different music video set ups would be nice as well but i guess 2020 ruined chances of that

@@darthestaaar yeah I feel like the year started pretty strong but the covers got progressively more boring/less creative vocally as time went on. like even the girl power medley had a lot of high notes in it but they felt so haphazardly placed and like mushed together, that arrangement felt so rushed. This was a big year for them personally, with two getting married and Christina having a baby + the pandemic, so I wanna go easy on them but I feel like they've gotten a bit complacent in their career
