Always liked his attitude, short time with the Yankees may have struggled but he was such a horse and always wanted that ball. Loved him before his time with the Yankees and after. He was just great pitcher who always wanted the ball. Props on a good career AJ. Very cool pitcher and performer to watch

4 years later my bad but honestly I look back with positive memories of his Yankee tenure. Game 2 is all I think about. His domination and Jose Molina's sweet pick and throw to get Werth. There were obvious struggles, but I remember game 2. More than likely no championship without that performance, they would have been down 0-2 heading to Philly

A.J. got such a bad rap in ny & was never really given a chance by yankees fans who want immediate results but if A.J. Burnett doesn't pitch the way he did in Game 2 of the 09 World series the yankees don't beat the phillies.
