To the north is the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. The Cincinnati Museum Center encompasses history, science and children's museums in the art deco Union Terminal. Works spanning 6,000 years are on display at the Cincinnati Art Museum.

I live here in Cinci, I moved here a year ago. Don’t regret it at all, I absolutely love living here. I used to live in the NYC metro area, and I honestly enjoy Cincinnati so much more. There is so much diversity, things to do, great food, great cafes, great night life, and just so many other activities to do every day. Not to mention we have plenty of beautiful parks.

So true, Garrett--- I drove cab for years (nights, Skyline Taxi which sadly is no more but once we were the pride of the cab fleet in the Nati), and I couldn't begin to count how many compliments I got on our city, and like yourself, many were from New York and it's environs. They said, "I had no idea how active it was here at night, you guys really got a great city." But the one I really loved was a Japanese man who was visiting from our sister city in Japan (regretfully, the name is now a fugitive from recall), he said, "I love my city...but Cincinnati much more...beautiful." It came out "bootiful" which made all the more endearing. He went on to comment on how "Very green city is." Yep. We've got our problems like any city...but when it comes to quality of life I'd put her up against any city. Peace.

I’m so glad to hear this! I’m native to MI but live in UT and so ready to go back east. Cinci looks like it has the relaxed suburban/woodland vibe with the amenities of a big city. I’m looking at buying a lot on the outskirts (by Woodland Moundish) so we can build when we are ready to buy a home.

The Museum Center at Union Terminal was built in the 1930's (not the 1950's) in the Art Deco Style and is famous for it's architecture. A must see in Cincinnati and should be #1 on the list as it tells the whole history of the city.

Growing up in Cincinnati it certainly has its charm, more so than Columbus and Cleveland. But the lack of public transit and bicycling infrastructure makes it feel like 2nd tier city stuck in the past.

Cincinnati has some hidden gems which only the local residents are aware of. One of these hidden gems are the stairways throughout the city. You are able to see two of the stairway bridges from Columbia Parkway and 1-71. Both of these stairways connect to Mount Adams. Some travel blogs need to focus on some of Cincinnati's hidden gems. esp. The Behringer Crawford Museum in Covington's Devou Park. Oddly there is the Devou Park Overlook.

Cincinnati has a neighborhood called Over The Rhine, it is a historical area of town and many of the buildings and homes were built in the1800s. In this neighborhood there are some nice restaurants, bars, and boutique shops. Also Findlay Market is in OTR (Over The Rhine) which was built in 1852 and is a public market where you can buy fresh meats, vegetables, and fruits. This a very walkable neighborhood or you can ride the Cincinnati Bell streetcar which connects downtown Cincinnati to this neighborhood.

I visited Cincinnati last fall and really liked it. I got a lot of surprised reactions when I told people I'd consider living there...underrated city, much like my hometown of Milwaukee. I'm planning on coming back for another visit sometime soon.

Man you forgot to add any Skyline Chili restaurants. Literally any Cincinnati Chili place is a landmark. It is one of the weirdest things we eat in Cincinnati and freaks foreigners out but when they try it they change their mind!

The 300k population is misleading. That is true of the city proper, but the Cincinnati metro area is HUGE, #30 in the US. It's great -- there's always a new part of town to explore.

Back in the 1970s and early 1980s I went to Cincinnati several times to see the Reds play at Riverfront Stadium. We would often eat at the same restaurants the ball playes eat at. Most of the ball players would be accompanied by beautiful young girls. What you may call trophy girls.

As much as I hate Cincinnati eden park is a MUST GO took my son's mother there to walk to Kickstart her past-do pregnancy in 2013 also the butterfly house is in Eden park too that's definitely worth visiting

@@Ram-xr5uj absolutely. Cincinnati is known (in circles) for its water's mineral content, which is very similar to both the Highlands of Scotland and the Mountains of Germany. Has made the tap water rank frequently as the best tasting in the country, and the beer some of the best. There are several breweries that release GABF and WBC winners yearly, and the city ranks as one of the top cities for breweries per Capita, with microbreweries in practically every neighborhood.

And DON'T miss the always changing locale but never boring, "I Got Taken Down For My Stash" Alley. It's most frequent home used to be up on Main, up around 12th. Thanks for having a sense of humor---I dearly love Cincinnati...I know her so well, having been been behind the wheel of a taxi on her streets for the night shift for many years. Until the "bar rush" hit, from 10pm-3am, I was mostly in the ghetto areas, one of which is no more (Kings Colony, my memory is straining on the name,Kings Run, maybe,which was accessed from Winton Rd. and also Spring Grove)We'd have our dispatchers hail us on the radio, "Stay out of Wild Wild West, their shooting at cop cars fer Chrissakes"...it's funny now, it was even funny then. But in all the years I drove nights I never had anyone try to rob me...It got dicey sometimes and you had the feeling it might be heading that way, but I was spared that. My memory is jumbled a bit from a near fatal car accident (semi ran over my Saturn), Please pardon the lapse.

I'm not a native Ohioan and I can't speak for the rest of Ohio but anything in or around Cincinnati is not worth moving to. Cincinnati is the most racist city probably in the US. They blatantly treat people of color like second class citizens no matter what your education is. On another note, the people act like robots with absolutely no personality. If you've lived in other cities like Philadelphia Pa. where I come from, you'll realize that the food in Cincinnati is awful, they have a very poor transportation system as oppose to other cities and it's just a very oppressed city for blacks in terms of the job market, housing and overall equality. It's also the most boring city in that it's nothing downtown, they have nothing for the kids to do during the summer. When I was a kid being raised in Philadelphia, we had block parties, summer camp and block captains would even arrange for trips to amusement parks. No wonder children and adults in Cincinnati have little to no personality. In regards to the racist behavior, that stems from people not been around or interacting with anyone outside of their race. Many Cincinnatians never been anywhere else and got accustom to that weird way of life because they don't know anything else. Philadelphia is a very diverse ethnic city and I grew up and even when to high school with other ethnic groups
