@@RobFuz well now I have an idea where the Lost Continent show from Universal's Islands of Adventure may have gotten inspired from. This attraction layout is very similar to that attraction with a host guiding guests, with different rooms, shows, and effects. All while telling the story and finding clues. Wouldn't be the first time this has happened as Islands of Adventures Dueling dragons/dragon challenge was originally a disney idea for the never created land of mythical creatures at Disney's Animal Kingdom

When I was little, I hated the this attraction because it was the scariest thing in Disneyland. I didn't remember much because I experienced it when I was little, but when I look at it as an adult, it's a wonderful attraction that I think should be left behind. I remember when I was young and when I used to be took to theme parks I was super fascinated in the engineering that went into the lighting, audio, other 4d effects like the water featured and bass speakers, and especially the animatronic technology. If I were ten years older I would’ve been able to visit here and I would’ve been blown away by the technology, I guess you could say I’d go to theme parks purely for the animatronics and 4d effects engineering than the actual subject. Overall amazing experience this looks to have been.

The first and last time I went here was when I was about 3~4 years old so I always had a vague image of there being a scary attraction that made me cry in the castle but I had never seen it since so I thought it was just my imagination or a dream or smth. Then I watched Defunctland's video and found out I wasn't crazy! I wish this attraction was still around.

While it can't be helped, the video on this is quite dark and hard to see at times. A friend of mine went on this, and he got the award at the end. I was amazed to see the Horned King, as he is not a well know Disney Villian. I wish I had the chance to experience this, but I think it ended before I was even aware of it.

RobFuz You know, I've been thinking up ideas for my own version of the Mystery Tour. Instead of the Magic Mirror, an eerie disembodied voice would lead you and the guide through the attraction, only to be revealed to be the voice of the Horned King the whole time, giving him a bigger role. Also, I would add scenes dedicated to more villains, like Ursula, Jafar, Dr. Facilier, and others.

Disneyworld USA should have taken this on. The one change I would make? Turn Chernabog into an animatronic, with massive projector lamps to illuminate the ghosts on the walls.
