I cant get the words to describe the 1980''s being a teenager and being a rock fan. Words wont do justice to the vibe. A golden decade. Beautiful memories. Great rock bands,great teenage movies(Outsiders,Lost Boys,Breakfast Club,St Elmos Fire,Youngblood etc). Hand on heart I cant believe how the time has gone by. Forgive me for using a cliche but you had to be there and thank God we were.

Lyrics: I took a walk down a road it's the road I was meant to stay I see the fire in your eyes but a man's gott make his way So are you tough enough for my love Just close your eyes to the heaven above I'm comin home, I'm comin home I took a ride in a world I'll be spinnin for the rest of my life I feel your heart beating baby Ooh sometimes it cuts like a knife So are you tough enough for my love Just close your eyes to the heaven above I'm comin home, I'm comin home I'm coming home where your love tonight can shine on me I'm coming home where your loving arms can set me free I took a walk down a road it's the road I was meant to stay I see the fire in your eyes but a man's gotta make his way So are you tough enough for my love Just close your eyes to the heaven above I'm comin home, I'm comin homet

Cinderella hard rock-blues metal band is on Hiatus since the band last album together "Still Climbing" in (1994) great album too and powerful rock ballads as well but U think it was released in a wrong time. But the band former frontman singer-songwriter musician, composer and producer Carl Thomas Keifer (Tom) still rocking, touring and singing our favorite Cinderella songs and hit songs too from his new second solo album "RISE" and new band The #Keiferband and let me tell you something Tom Keifer who was born Carl Thomas Keifer still sounds so cool after his seven vocal cords surgeries and a paralysis or paresis in his left chord vocal cord. Tom Keifer new second solo album "RISE" was acclaimed by music critics last year in October in hard rock-blues metal category and is on the Billboard top 10, most sales new albums in 2019 and now in 2020

He smiled such a genuine smile, mouthed back I love you, too, and when Shake Me started he dropped his pick in my hand. He aimed to make sure I got it. Thank you, Sir. The bands in that era were extremely special. Unique and distinct voices we may never get to hear again. Its just a shame they all popped up at once and it was hard picking and choosing who to like. I doubt we will ever see that plethora of talented bands/voices in the future of bands going forward.
@johnroche75412 жыл бұрын
Well said andi totally agree. Bands like Warrant,White Lion,Winger,Kix and Stryper were also underrated. Most rock bands at the time seemed to be overshadowed by the likes of Bon Jovi,Guns 'N' Roses etc. Those guys at great too. Check out Cinderella at the Moscow Peace Festival in 1989. They were awesome. I am currently listening to all the great rock bands( I hate the term "Hair Metal) of the 1980's and going down memory lane to when I was a teenager and hand on heart it seems the 1980's were just yesterday. Where did the time go? The 1980's was the best decade ever. It is difficult to put into words. Great movies from the time also. Great vibe. I suppose you had to be there and thank God we were.

So true! There acually was a time when it WASN'T cool to play guitar! How crazy is that? Playin guitar has ALWAYS BEEN cool except for that sad sad time in the late 90's. I am so happy people are finay realizing that it takes talent to make music. My son is a D.J. and i am proud of everything he has achieved musicly (and in general) but he puts enormous amounts of effort into it, plus he plays the piano, senthecyser (i know I can't spell!) some guitar plus i make guitar loops for him. He gets my daughter to do the singing parts and my youngest daughter makes drum loops for him. She's played drums most of her life. But the point is he doesn't just arange loops that he downloads from loop packs he comes up with his own or someone in the family works with him to come up with them. So theres talent there even though it's not my kind of thing I've seen him get a crowd going the same way I've done time and time again by playing guitar.

Cinderella was different than all the other big hair bands of the 1980s. The other bands had one or two really great hits on their albums that made the radio and MTV, but the rest of the songs on their albums were not worth listening too. You only played those one or two songs all the time, and skipped through the rest. Cinderella's albums may not have had any really big hits, but their entire albums were filled with very excellent songs. All of them. You listened all the way through.
