1983, 22 years old, Bartending at a killer local bar, living with five good friends in a party house with indoor pool, driving a new 1983 Boss 302 Mustang, Def Leopard always blasting, Wow, The best times ever. I’ve tried to tell my kids what they missed. From Atlanta, Georgia. I think I was blessed to experience the best times this world has seen.

I think the greatest thing about this band is not their music, but the fact that they didn't ditch their drummer after he lost an arm in a car accident. That's true friendship and loyalty.

The story according to MTV at the time, was that the drummer began figuring out ways to drum one-handed while he was still in the hospital bed recuperating from the accident that cost him his arm. He would tap out rhythms with his remaining hand and his two feet while in bed. That's dedication.

When I hear this song, I’m overwhelmed with the feeling that we don’t realize we’re living the best days of our lives until they’ve long since passed. I was 17 and a junior in high school when this was a huge hit. I was in such a damn hurry to grow up and leave all the teenage “bullshit” behind. Now that I’m all grown up, 52 now, I’d give anything to live these days once again.

old people say this every single generation. this one is no different. look in publications back to the 1800s. EVERY SINGLE GENERATION complains about "the music of today." but it's just an opinion, man. we all like different things;. you're allowed to like music from the 70s and 80s, but you can't just arrogantly accuse younger people of "not understanding music."

I always opened at my job when i was at Fridays and i would play my music while we set up for the day. I was plaing rocket before shift meeting and my boss overheard it and was like is that Def Leppard and i was like hell yeah, then we proceeded to talk about the drummer losing his arm and how we both love this band. Same here. Lots of memories (both bitter and sweet) linked to that song (and the album). Fun, friends, girls - some of them long gone and buried. The strange part is - in the 80s I always had the feeling that it is a "special time". Still don't know exactly why. Maybe it just was the youth. Now, over 30 years later, I know it was not only "special", it was a magical time! Do I want it back? Probably not. But the memory will always put a smile on my face...

Graduated from a small, rural High School in South-Western Ohio in "86" I literally wore out my "Pyromania" cassette tape in my "57 Chevy" that I drove during those high school years cruising on Broadway in Greenville, Oh. Wow, had we only known how Damn good those days actually were when we were there living them!!! The 80's...Best decade ever known to man! So thankful that I was there, right in the middle of it all & still able to enjoy & reminisce on the INCREDIBLE music put out there by this GREATEST OF ALL ROCK BANDS EVER!

Heart melting nostalgia. One of the greatest songs ever. It's not always possible to hear every single instrument, effect.....vocal in a song, but in this one you can. Each it's own melody, it's own entity. Fantastic production for it's time, perfect mix.

Elizabeth Steiner tbh it was his chemistry with Phil and all of them and he was great at putting different like uses of the guitar into the songs because they didn't use the same thing almost over and over like turning something different they don't want to use the same thing over and over like some f****** songs to he was brilliant in the Phil did a great job because they were in all the terror twins and they known each other for a long time besides Joe and Rick and that I mean Rick Savage because around for awhile while they found him really quick
