The story according to MTV at the time, was that the drummer began figuring out ways to drum one-handed while he was still in the hospital bed recuperating from the accident that cost him his arm. He would tap out rhythms with his remaining hand and his two feet while in bed. That's dedication.

When I hear this song, I’m overwhelmed with the feeling that we don’t realize we’re living the best days of our lives until they’ve long since passed. I was 17 and a junior in high school when this was a huge hit. I was in such a damn hurry to grow up and leave all the teenage “bullshit” behind. Now that I’m all grown up, 52 now, I’d give anything to live these days once again.

old people say this every single generation. this one is no different. look in publications back to the 1800s. @jsn71233 жыл бұрын
Same here. Lots of memories (both bitter and sweet) linked to that song (and the album). Fun, friends, girls - some of them long gone and buried. The strange part is - in the 80s I always had the feeling that it is a "special time". Still don't know exactly why. Maybe it just was the youth. Now, over 30 years later, I know it was not only "special", it was a magical time! Do I want it back? Probably not. But the memory will always put a smile on my face...

I remember being a teeny bopper, and me & my best friend would roll up into the local pool hall/arcade and the first thing we would do was throw a couple of quarters in the jukebox and put on Rock of Ages. We just had let everyone know we were there and we were ready to party. 🤘🏼😎

Graduated from a small, rural High School in South-Western Ohio in "86" I literally wore out my "Pyromania" cassette tape in my "57 Chevy" that I drove during those high school years cruising on Broadway in Greenville, Oh. Wow, had we only known how Damn good those days actually were when we were there living them!!! The 80's...Best decade ever known to man! So thankful that I was there, right in the middle of it all & still able to enjoy & reminisce on the INCREDIBLE music put out there by this GREATEST OF ALL ROCK BANDS EVER!

10 years ago I crossed Mexico to the Riviera Maya in my car on a trip that changed my life, I was listening to this song while crossing the roads and next to me the sea and her...the love of my life...Know she is not with me, but; that sensations yet...and this Timeless Masterpiece...

April 2024 , this is still Rocking even after all these years , Classic Leppard with the Late Great Steve giving it loads as per usual , just such a shame he ain't here anymore, he really did give that extra bite to the music. Where ever you are Steve you are still a Legend and us fans from the beginning will never forget you . Godspeed Steve 🙏 🙏 From the 🇬🇧

Probably the most underrated band of all-time: by that I mean they could be one of the ten best ever. Joe Elliott’s voice, so good.
