Cinderella is a classic love story of magic, and fairies, and dancing, singing, talking mice, none of which exist. It's their subtle way of saying, "If your life stinks, it's probably gonna stay that way." Isn't that inspiring?

And its done SO MUCH BETTER in this version than in the Lily James version. In that one, the evil family rips the sleeve a little bit (which she probably could have fixed in a minute) and then, rather than be comforted, (which was COMPLETELY ruined by the fact that we ALREADY SAW HER having the breakdown when the family renames her) she has to FEED the damn fairy Godmother BEFORE she poofs into her fancy magic dress and grants Cinderella's wish. At least this Fairy Godmother had compassion on poor Cinderella, comforted her, made her gorgeous and asked for NOTHING in return. And then she even let Cinderalla keep the slipper so she could live happily ever after with the prince. In the Lily James version, she's just spinning and humming, like she's PERFECTLY HAPPY to continue being her family's slave and letting her sister marry the prince. Had it not been for the mice, the prince wouldn't have heard her. Personally, I consider the Cinderella Disney did with Brandi and Whitney Houston to be the more worthy live-action remake of this movie (at least the Disney version. Ever After is also very good).

The funny thing about Disney back when Walt ran it was that all the animated Kings have a freaky resemblance to Emperor Franz-Ferdinand of the Austro- Hungarian Empire in the years before World War I, the more you know. No one ever talks about this, but here I go...,those shoes were custom fitted GLASS slippers. So, what I’m saying is, they were like molded to Cinderellas feet, like a glove. I think that is the main reason no one else could wear them, AND it would make them super comfy, for glass shoes.

I'm assuming it's because the fairy godmother screwed up on the shoes. Glass is like the worst material you can make slippers out of, so maybe she just made them glass by accident, and that led to them sticking around longer than intended.
