My mom was _obsessed_ with this movie when it came out, and bought the video about 7 seconds after it was in stores, because it took 7 seconds to get from the store entrance to the video on the shelf to the checkout counter! I liked the movie, but I didn't get her obsession until about 5 years later: mom was the same age as Baby in 1963, and I remember her saying that she threw away her class ring over breaking up with a guy who liked jazz music, which is the reason she despises jazz music, and I'll bet his name was Johnny and "Jazzy Johnny" was her first piece of hot a$$! I dunno if I put those puzzle pieces together right, and I'm not asking mom about it, but all these years later, I'm still pretty sure that I figured out her obsession with this movie..... Excellent MEF!!!
