Watching these guys play LIVE is an "experience'! Their energy doesn't come across that well on any other media. They have that X factor that just get people on their feet! Plus they're good guys too! Very polite and respectful. We had met them several times after concerts in L.A. Although the last time I met them they were opening for The David Lee Roth band. Back then no one wasn't allowed to go into the bar area since that was for the the David Lee Roth band V.I.P.s. Sadly they, Cinderella, were stuck in the family restaurant area that was also closed off. The bummer of that was they couldn't get any alcohol because the family area they were in wasn't allowed to serve alcohol in that area. My friend and I saw that so we bought a bunch of beers and just "happened" to leave them at the table next to were they sitting. We loudly announced we were leaving and "didn't feel like carrying the beers". LOL😁 We just hoped they understood what we meant. After 15 minutes or so we looked into the area they were at and they and the beers were gone!😂 A great weekend in Chicago. We had lots of fun meeting the Chicago Bears and other performers backstage that weekend. I swear the moment we put our feet on the Chicago tarmac it rained like crazy and didn't stop until we were walking to our plane headed back to L.A. Despite the rain, I loved that city and all the museums there.👍🎸🎶

BTW, as for the USSR, they were just about done at this time. Those people were going to experience freedom for the first time in like 3 generations. It was kinda magical as Russia was our enemy for decades and they ruled with an iron fist. It didn't seem like the never ending threat of nuclear war was ever going to end. It was cool to see how American culture helped to bring an end to the nightmare which was the USSR. Unfortunately, it seems we forgot the horrors of Communism and people are trying to bring that crap here. No people that lose their freedom ever get it back in their lifetime. I believe Regan said that, it was true 40ish years ago and still true today.
@laurieh9854 жыл бұрын
Great 80's post-USSR fall songs. My two other faves are The Scorpions "Winds of Change" and Sting's "Russians". Powerful stuff... and I can from an era where in elementary school we had drills where we literally had to hide under our desks in case of a USSR nuclear attack.

There’s a great medley that Toto does on their 35th anniversary in Poland album. It’s an acoustic version of 99, which ends in a nice guitar (acoustic) solo with piano, which then goes into the brief melodic piano solo The Muse, and comes right out into the rocker White Sister. It’s a beautiful ride and shows off how great Toto is live :)

Cinderella’s first album, Nighy Songs, was a great 80’s Hair Metal debut album. The bands first album was a heavier, more metal album than their subsequent albums which had a more bluesy/rock feel to it, more along the lines of Aerosmith, if I were to compare it to something. Their second album, Long Cold Winter, was a great, great blues/rock album and the rest of the bands releases were more like this after. Take a listen to some of the bands songs from Long Cold Winter, like; Bad Seamstress Blues (Falling Apart At The Seams) Gypsy Road Don’t Know What You Got (‘Till It’s Gone) Coming Home Long Cold Winter The Last Mile These were the better songs off of their second album Their third album, Heartbreak Station, was another great blues/rock album with some good songs like; Shelter Me Heartbreak Station The More Things Change Their fourth and last studio album was called Still Climbing, I’m not as familiar with this album as their first three, but had a great song on it called; Bad Attitude Unfortunately Cinderella only released four studio albums before they broke up In the early nineties, all albums they released after that were either Best Of albums or Live albums. Tom Kiefer released a solo album or two after the band broke up, but i’m not familiar with them at all. Give these suggestions a listen, I think you’ll love them. \m/ Stay Metal \m/

It's one of the highest attended concert's in history with official estimates of 800k-1million people and unofficial estimates of 1.5 million. They had to use the Soviet Army for security. The fans were super hyped. Enter Sandman by Metallica was epic and Domination by Pantera has 1 of the best guitar solos I've ever heard in my life.
