very helpful. I have some 3d software experience so I was able to figure it out but there's a bunch of differences with the current c4d version, most notably the location of the materials which is now next to the render view buttons.

if your Boole tool is not working you simply want to edit the spines. make sure they are closed, so it extrudes and creates the hole you want , Was this helpful to anyone ?

Hey i imported an ai.file with custom font, and after extrusion, it fills up the O's, D's, R's and A's It shows that the gaps are also extruded and the Boole dosen't work as well, any solution about that?

I can't make an outline each time I try the whole logo disappears :( and that I don't have after effects would dimension work?

Are you talking about In illustrator?

Not sure. Make sure it is selected and hit image trace. Maybe try a different image trace like 3 color or something. Or after you finish the image trace highlight the “blank” screen and change the stroke to black or something. Might have just traced it with a white stroke for some reason. Not sure

@@michaeldebarr285 yes I have tried alot of things like instead of AI I use photoshop 3D section as was able to make a 3d logo of my image but then after that I don't know what to do to in orders of making my file for 3D printing :( its a simple band logo that I want to create for a keychain I hope maybe you can help?.

@@Be3Al2 I know in illustrator the important step is when you save it, save it as the AI 8 option. It’s the only thing that will show up in C4D. Not sure about photoshop.

@@michaeldebarr285 I will try again but I know how to make extrude a 2d image to 3d in Photoshop but after that I'm at a loss on how to make so that I can 3D print it but thanks for trying to help

As I opened the illustrator 2019 file which is saved as illustrator 8 in cinema 4d out of after effects then one spot has just appeared and i can't even see the logo i made. Its fucking annoying

And as i didnt uncheck the correct spline or something when i merge the file into cinema 4d it perfectly worked out.I hope that you know its not working out the same on every computer just please refer to my case

what do you print to extrude all?

Click on the top extrude, go down to the list on the bottom right, click object and check hierarchical. Then click “ctrl” + “c” to make them all extrudes.
