Cinema 4D & Octane Tutorial - Adding a Background Image (3 Ways)

First, a good tutorial for a number of points, I'm not dissing your content, but the title says 3 ways of background. JUST THE BACKGROUND methods could have taken 3 minutes. All the other discussion, importing models, texturing, lighting, all that other stuff made it a 30 minute tutorial. I'd have been really pleased to get the advertised info, just that info, quickly.

09:10 - Octane Live Viewer window, settings, kernal, check Alpha Channel. Do the same in render settings to get it on your output as well.

Great tut, a little bit long with some stuff not needed, getting the textures etc but other than that really nice. How about showing us how to integrate/composite an object into a real environment. Don't need a great long tut to show the matchmove process that's a whole tutorial on its own. Just the bit where we composit the plane/ground into the background and catch the shadows. I can do it in normal Cinema 4D, but does it work the same in Octane?

render each frame as stills not one mpg. mov. file for your BG

Usually After Effects. Bring in as image sequence and save out as Quicktime H264 video

Hi Guys! I got a little Problem with the Alpha Channel on the Octane settings.. So when i click the checker Box to Alpha channel ON, i can't see my Background Footage from the Preview Window.. Anyone knows a solution ?

Hey :) I have Octane Studio 2020.1.5-R4 and it works when you drag an Octane Material to the Background Object.
