Good people helped me to realise silly mistake I made in Fusion. Instead of adding Gamut after every node, add it only once after all merge nodes. That way everything will be linear. What I did in the video is sRGB compositing, which is alright but looses the whole point of linear workflow 😂 thank you to those who pointed it out 👊🏻 PROPER LINEAR WORKFLOW: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqPHZWqjZtWkrcU

This would affect all non-linear assets in your scene too which would start appear incorrectly, wouldn’t it? 😊

Andrey Lebrov I’m not sure I understand what you mean by this. Does this mean the order should be loader node, merge, gamut. And gamut after every single merge node or just 1 gamut?
@AndreyLebrov

Just 1 gamut in the end of the chain, before saver

Thumbs up power 100 my boiii, you are one of a few since a long time that do octane multipasses tut and its too priceless not to tell you that when you accelerate your video and/or skip some area of the process (fusion/photoshop parts), that light speed pace might be too fast for beginners out here. i see it's relatively simple but for learning it's not ideal :) I know maybe you don't want to do hour long tut but just watch the Eyedesign channel they do great long tuts at a controled fast pace. Anyway thank you so much for what you do !!!

Hi mate. Thank you very much for your feedback, I’ll take it into account. I speed up only the parts between myself talking, whatever I’m talking about is visually supported. Usually 😆 but your point makes sense. Cheers! 👊🏻

I freaking love watching your videos, and I use to tinker around a lot in Cinema 4D myself. I could never figure out how to make 3D look more realistic with my in real life footage, and even after watching this video. I'm still very confused, but I really enjoy watching your videos. I literally just watch them to see what I'm getting myself into, so I haven't reapplied what I've learned yet. Once I get around to actually doing what I've seen in your videos and tinkering around with the settings to see what all this stuff does. I hope to be able to accomplish the effect one day. I just got my new PC which I'll be doing a video for soon. It's a SnowBlind build so no I didn't build it myself, but I'm very happy with the specs and speed especially from living in the Apple ecosystem for the last 8 years. Wish I made the switch sooner, but I was so comfortable with Apple I just couldn't until now. And it's a bit of a change so I'm still trying to get use to it. My Specs: Intel i7 8700k, Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti, 512gb ssd+120gb ssd+1TB hard-drive, and 16gb of ram (going to upgrade it to 32gb in the future). A big upgrade from a MacBook Pro running Intel i5 @2.6GHz, 8gb of ram, intel graphics, and 256gb ssd...days of rendering 3D stuff and I actually melted my first MacBook Pro because of this. I guess what I'm saying is I'll have more questions once I start diving into this. I've never heard of Octane until I found your channel and all of this terminology is gonna be a huge learning curve. It'd be awesome if you could make a playlist of you teaching how to do things in the order you work with a simulated project you made up while providing us project files to follow along with! Hopefully that made sense. :)

This is really cool :) over the summer I plan to take more time to spend learning c4d sense I won't have school. I'm 14 and I use mostly after effects (P.S. have you used that program before?) and I have used c4d in a couple of my films but it never really ends up looking hyper realistic but it doesn't look bad in my opinion I hope I will learn the program well enough to make the cool animated stuff like you do and it's even more encouraging knowing that I don't have to go to a school to learn this I can just do it online like you! I started putting special effects into my films when I was about 11 or 10 and now 4 years later I've gotten really good at using the program after effects. Do you think you could look at some of my recent films and critique them I like to try to get feed back from experienced film makers but I don't get it to often? :) Thx

Thanks for the suggestion mate. I really want to wait for the update on this 😏

Thank you for the reply Andrey ! You have the best way of delivering tutorial content because you take it slowly unlike other tutorial channels who just rush through the entire process . And If Substance Painter is really going to get integrated it would be a really smooth workflow then . Anyways , thank for the tutorial and have a good day !
