Hey guys Sean Dove here. A little while ago I got sent the opening title sequence for a kids show called Figure It Out and I was asked how could we go about recreate their effect.
This creative piece was made by the team over at BUCK and as someone who loves playing with perspective I was really excited to try this technique. In the clip we see this skewed text projected onto this underground, carpark style, scene - and with a nice camera swing we start to see the text begin to line up before reaching that final sweet spot where it reads seamlessly.
So I thought we'd have a quick look at putting together a scene using simple shapes and then have a play with some camera projections and perspective and see how it turns out!
Special thanks to Oliver Santiago for allowing me to use his artwork to demonstrate this technique - make sure you check out his full series, the whole thing is insane.

instead of using manual keyframe camera animation use Camera morph tag with multi camera that will give you more perfection and control and you can add more graphic arround

I was wondering if this could be achievable in after effects, i mean...doing the 3d model in cinema, render all out, but put the logo you want in after effects and in some way create the same effect

Question: How would you matte out the background objects? Currently the camera projections hit everything in the camera's line of sight. Wondering how the image would be mapped only to the first object it hits, leaving objects behind those relative to projection camera without the texture map... more like how an actual projector would work.

Just a small question: Does it really make sense to export as 600dpi? I thought its normally used for printing. Isnt it more common to scale it up instead or am i wrong?

unfortunately this don't work for me... applying the created material to the room spreads parts of the image to every single surface of the room. looks completely scattered. is there any option i've overlooked? great video anyway... too bad it don't helps me out
