If you're doing this in 2019. Polygon reduction has been moved to the generators tab. Just to the left of the one in the video. You also place the object _inside_ the generator. Not vice versa as shown in the video

Quick Tip: In C4D R19 / R20 , you can find the polygon reduction in the instance tab. Also, you need to put the landscape inside the polygon reduction, instead of putting the polygon reduction inside the landscape

I´m still watching the video but at 10:00 I think you forgot to say that you can also change the brush size by holding the middle mouse button and moving the mouse up and down. EDIT: Sorry, in this case is the strength that you can change and shift middle mouse button you can change the radius, but when you´re just on live selection you can change it with the middle mouse button.

You can skip three quarters of this video with Create > Object > Landscape. Play with the values until you are happy with the generated land. Make it editable and throw it into a Polygon Reduction. Cheers ;)

When I add Polygon Reduction to my mountains, I can't really do anything with it. The Polygon Reduction on each mountain is inactive and says "Zero remaining edges to collapse. No reduction possible". Is there anything I can do about it?
