Awesome! Thats what I needed. I have added "Smoothing" (from the same window as Jiggle) to the object in the hierarchy just to give it a nice smooth finish.

I was about 10 minutes in when I realized this isn't really a tutorial about what the title says

this told me nothing about the jiggle deformer itself, this was just you creating a scene where motext is poorly affected by an extremely basic jiggle deformer.

hi there,yes i can, just go to the "display" menu and select gouraud shading (lines)

Lawrence great tut, I'm having an issue I imported an obj model I've applied jiggle deformer same setting as you everything looks perfect even in the preview render view but when it render in picture viewer the jiggle deformer has no effect at all, it's just a clean render of the object with no deformer applied. Any advice how to solve it?

No I didn't was lazy and ignorant and just pressed pause at the point where the deformer looked the best. Im still new to c4d, are key frames a significant part of rendering producing not only motion images but still images?

Yes, you will need to add keyframes to the timeline , so you can get the animation.

in the still images it is not necessary to add keyframes
