Today i'll be taking a look at the first 6 episodes of the new cardfight vanguard divinez anime; reviewing it but also seeing if I consider it an anime with a story to tell or just a marketing tool to sell vanguard product.

Tbf it is only 12 ep long. As current anime is 12 ep only unlike before where 20+ was the norm for one season. And let’s not forget it’s not a slice of life anime and it actually has story telling to tell so yeah. What I’m mad about is the damn dear days update in the anime we will never get despite getting that set 13 card revealed in that one episode of will dress near the end or at the end of that season. So like bruh what

I disagree. I dont think it needs to be 20+ episodes for them to be able to flesh out the story and characters. They studio should know before hand how many episodes they were given and should do a good job pace things out accordingly. We've had plenty of amazing 12 episode seasons from other anime. My theory is that Bushiroad is being dumb and will release the next wave of DLC after JP sets have more of a gap between the game. That said, its pretty obvious they are cooking something here with the "Net Vanguard" since its clear an update Dear Days. Makes no sense to show that and NOT release something but we'll see.

Yea it’s got me interested so far unlike Overderss/Willdress where I was just questioning what the pint of the anime was. If you want a good card game anime to both compare to and hope DivineZ aspires to be watch Shadowverse Flame. Great characters and duels.

Definitely on positive with Divinez as long as things go fine for the next half of episodes left of the season. With Nao and Mikoto, my hope on them is at least having some moments and not being thrown away or especially if next season bring around and have some good moments. Cause at the very least with them I actually like them more than how Dress was with Megumi and Tomari, as for Megumi here, I felt she was fine even if she lost, she felt like the mentor role and it works with her nicely especially for helping Mikoto. Her loss there didn't feel as bad as her time in Will+Dress, especially with S3 ep 5. Aside that definitely am liking Akina as a protagonist and hope he keeps going in that train and been curious for Suo for the next episode.

Ye I mostly agree. The Megumi lost isnt as bad this time around but its more like the sense of "Nothing has changed"
