My favourite film also. Thank you. I am in the town now and enjoying walking around the real life film set. Sadly the actual cinema is no longer here but there are loads of other memorable places from the film. The museum is small but quite incredible... Where else could you get so close to actual memorabilia? The original projector is there with the original film loaded too. I managed to catch what I think was Morricone's final concert in London not long before he sadly passed. The music, the story, the quest for love, connection and meaning in such an ever changing and unpredictable world captured so poetically in this film and holds a special place in the hearts of so many. Thanks again for sharing your trip, it made my three hour drive this morning seem worthwhile and I am so pleased to have final ticked that box.

Oh!!! How beautiful!!! It's indeed unchanged and exactly like the film!!!! I love how cities and towns often become not just the place where a film plays out... But a character in the film... Lending it's nuances and idiosyncrasies.... And enriching the cinema!!!!

Nice video. I was just in Palazzo Adriano today but unfortunately the museum is temporarily closed and it rained pretty hard so I wasn’t able to enjoy my visit nearly as much as I’d hoped. I’ll be back as Cinema Paradiso is definitely my all time favorite film.

So nice to see the village has stayed the same in this ever-changing world. I’m planning to go there for the first time next year. I’m such a nut for this movie, I have a CP poster on my office wall and the theme is my phone’s ringtone. Such a classic in every way. Thanks for making this video.

It looks exactly like a set from the film. You'll love it I'm sure. The village of Corleone is not far away if you're a Godfather fan

Have you looked up the spots in the town where Salvatore sits with (then blinded) Alfredo and the one where he waits for his girl?

I absolutely love visiting movie locations. Especially when they’re off the beaten path and generally unchanged from when filming took place. This one is a little farther off the beaten path for me, but I’ll make it there someday. The new version of Wizard of Oz was filmed a few miles from my house, but it’s just a giant square concrete building. Everything was shot indoors mostly on green screen sets. Poetically, that’s what was foretold in Cinema Paradiso: the end of the golden era of film.

Yes! Somehow modern day CGI and studio based shots have taken the fun out of films! With the rare exceptions of course! Some gems out there in the UK as well...

Another fun movie location to visit is Martha’s Vineyard to see the places where Jaws was filmed.
