When I was trying to float up the furnishings, it doesn't work and the chair refuses to go back to the surface. Why?

The sunken anchor furnishing’s placement square MUST be red when you switch back to the Fontaine flooring from the Liyue one. The window to do this is literally a few pixels worth of distance so it’s very tight (more difficult but still doable on touch screen/controller). If the square is still blue then you haven’t sunk it enough, and the anchor won’t pop up to float your other furnishings.

I really hope this doesn't just go unseen but when I try to do this it doesn't work. I have to sink it 9 times for it to go red and when I try to do the thing with the liyue floors it doesn't turn red. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong
