I know people talk about Zac's performance. But damn holt was just a straight up beast. Kevin said that his performance was spot on. The man deserves some kind of an award.

I just saw it. I do have one question, but don't want to spoil, they did leave something out and it was like it never happened. Each actor was awesome, each really captured the physical presence of each brother, and Holt embodied Fritz. I see what the rave for Efron is about, he showed an innocence and vulnerabilty of Kevin that makes me love him even more. And they brought it home; the love the brothers shared. It did seem cut short (editting maybe). I don't know why the movie couldn't run longer. You don't have to be a fan of wrestling to experience this movie. Fritz was a visionary task master, the sons had to love like they did, for the most part all they had was one another.

When I was reading about the families I didn’t realize there was another brother bc they didn’t show it on film. They could have made the movie longer to include him though

@@anchmclefrom what I’ve read… if they added Chris and his death it would have been too much for some people watching having three other deaths was enough for the producers to get out the story without making the movie include too many deaths… they wanted it to be more about the family wrestling and having four deaths could just be painfully too much.

Chris's death is really the saddest, and they believed that adding it would be too much, and push the movie over the edge of being too sad. Which sucks, but I get why they did.

I lived in lake dallas in this time i was a school mate and best friend with Chris wjo is not in the movie i stayed the night with Chris alot and was very close to the family they treated me very well i lived it with them Chris B

The remaining brother said, everybody was pretty spot on in this movie except his dad. His dad was much more loving in real life and not as extreme as the dad portrayed in this movie.

Well, if you see, there’s a rare interview with the Fritz where I think this, either after kristmas died or when the sons died did Chris actually break down our camera and he starts crying and he even begs God don’t take anymore of his children though so he can find that video online you’ll see what I mean the interview

I don’t think that Fritz was the curse. Fritz was portrayed poorly in the movie coming from the actual von erich family (Kevin, and his children). Will I say that he was rough? 100% no doubt, but he is still human and loved his children dearly. They decided to pursue this career knowing the challenges!

Zac definitely bulked up too much for Kevin's physique back then. Kevin was muscular but it was a lean muscular. I wonder if he saw a picture of the 2 of them & mistook Kevin for Kerry & didn't find out his mistake until it was time to shoot the movie. He definitely looked more like Kerry than Kevin.

Saw it this morning. Not bad, kinda rushed through the tragedies in the second half. Should have been some mention of Chris at least. Efron got too big to play Kevin, Kerry wasn't big enough. Most characters you could buy into. The lip filler on Doris was way out of place...
