It takes a lot of balls to come out and tell others that you are struggling, most don't understand, even friends and family.

In my opinion Joe is one of the best British actors there is, undoubtedly. He's much more talented than Tom Hardy and the likes and he's an absolute top bloke to boot. It's unbeatable that he isn't given more roles than he has, I mean much bigger roles in cinema. He was outstanding in Ripper Street and was able to make one of the most wicked, evil, horrible men seem likeable and a sort of anti hero. He should have won more awards for his portrayal of woody in this is England. The episode in series 88 when its Christmas Joe produces one the best acting displays I have ever seen. He is hilarious, genuine, believable and I just think he's a funking great bloke. I'd love to meet him and sit down with a brew and have a chat just to hear his stories. Top bloke.

Joe, thank you!! Thank you for reminding myself and my husband of our years of fun and silliness that we spent with our gang of reprobates! We have so many stories of the things we got up to. I can remember my husband and one of his mates coming back from a "trip" to somewhere that shall remain unnamed and my husband had jumped over a fence and his mate had thrown a sledgehammer over the fence after him, only for it to hit my husband before it hit the floor. He was a clumsy bugger was my husband, he fell down some stairs whilst mulling around some building, they'd lifted the doors up that led to a cellar and my hubby stepped backwards and boom!! down the stairs he went. He was lucky not to kill hisself. Those clips in Brassic where clumsiness caused accidents were hilarious and so relatable. Oh and I'm also Bacup born and bred, still have family and friends there, now live in Accrington so I appreciate the backdrop in Brassic too. Thank you for the laughs, love you in everything you do Mr Gilgun!!
