Well it’d have to be hanged up on the wall or framed, a baseball bat is perfect because if your a baseball player then surely you’d have one in your room, plus it also gives us details about the characters background, so that we could connect with her

When Lily had sleep paralysis, she saw Beth’s silhouette open the door, look around, then leave. She did not see her sister, neither did Lily see Beth when she looked at her bedroom across the hallway. Both of them heard footsteps downstairs. Beth was the first to be taken, as she turned the lights on and was taken through the window. Lily was the last to be taken. ( Copied and pasted my explanation to someone else cos I’m too lazy to type everything again. )

My guess on timeline: - Beth has a nightmare about Lily being killed by the Other Lily and goes to check on her. She finds the room empty (maybe because of OL’s influence?) and investigates noise in kitchen, before being snatched through the window by OL. Lily wakes up after her sleep paralysis and hears a noise downstairs. As she walks down the hallway she sees that Beth’s door is open, but ignores it after hearing more noises. When she gets to the kitchen, she sees the lights on and a broken window, before attacking OL, who is disguised as Beth. OL then kills Lily. The giveaway that Beth dies first is that her door is open before Lily goes downstairs. The kitchen lights are on and the window is broken, both things that occurred due to Beth being there first. Lastly, when Beth is taken, the clock reads 3:05, but when Lily goes downstairs, it’s 3:10.

I went through and have stitched together the timeliness of when each thing happens based on the clocks Lily:gets food at 11:41pm checks on Beth at 11:45pm guest to bed at 12:01am wakes up from sleep paralysis at roughly 3:22am goes downstairs and gets killed by OL at 3:25AM Beth:wakes up at 3:00AM checks lily's room at about 3:01Am and gets killed by OL at 3:10AM Beth died a whole 15 minutes before Lily but checked on her a whole 3 hours and 21 minutes before Lily woke up

Here are the events in chronological order -Lily checks on Beth and finds drawing -Lily goes to sleep -Beth wakes up from nightmare while at the same time Lily "wakes up" and has sleep paralysis -Beth checks on Lily but can't see her, she hears noises and run downstairs -Lily wakes up from sleep paralysis and pick the phone while Beth is checking the kitchen -Beth is snatched out of the window, Lily hears it and goes downstairs with the bat -Lily swings at Other Lily under Beth's disguise and got taken by the monster Whether it's a literal monster or some sort of abusive sister allegory I leave it to you

From what I understood: 1 - Beth wakes up from a nightmare AT THE SAME TIME that Lilly is having a sleep paralisys. 2 - She goes down, and gets snatched. 3 - Lilly gets out of the paralysis, and runs to the kitchen, seeing the aftermath of the kidnapping. 4 - Lilly is killed too. I cannot quite understand why they don't really see each other, but my guess is that it's one of the monter's abilities.

This is honestly probably one of the best horror animations ever made so far, it does so much right that a lot of modern horror media gets so wrong, it has tension, suspence, great atmosphere and genuinely surprising scares and twists, you managed to do more than 99% of horror movies and shows today could in the span of not even 10 minutes. You are a true artist and animator, and all your animations are truly works of disturbing art that deserves more recognition. Haha, you must be green! Horror certainly is subjective, but im certain you'll be suprised to find horror from more places than just David Romeo. I think david is an incredible artist, but I've watched a couple frightening stories unfold that absolutely shook me far more. Hereditary is one of my all time favourites, I think you might enjoy it, as it's a psychological horror that plays with the concepts of the occult and hidden away family secrets.

I love the subtle detail of the clocks and the nonlinear story telling. When Beth wakes up and is taken, it’s 3:00am on her digital clock. When Lily wakes up and goes downstairs, it’s about 3:10am on the kitchen clock. I feel like this was very intentional because he took the time to animate the red seconds hand. P.s. I love the use the witching hour too. I went to a supposedly haunted school and 3am was always known as the haunting hour when odd things would occur. If you were stuck on guard duty and were posted at 3am, you almost kept your head down because you didn’t want to encounter any of the school’s many boogeymen.

And, he also had the "episodes," not waking up, and asking up in another level of sleep paralysis. And Lily probably didn't woke up completely, since once she swing the bat at her doppelganger, she woke up, at the moment she hit her little sister.

Timeline: -Lily checks on her sister, finds drawing -Lily goes to sleep -Sleep paralysis, Lily tries to find Beth. Kitchen door window is broken. Lily accidentally hits Beth out of fear, but Beth is OL in disguise. Lily is killed. -Beth has nightmare about above events, goes to find lily and finds her gone (Lily is presumably invisible) -Beth goes downstairs to look for Lily. Is killed by OL. -Events in #3 become true. Edit: so in a nutshell, Lily's sleep paralysis and Beth's dream happened at the same time, but Beth got killed before Lily.

I've pieced it together First the little girl wakes up and checks Lily's room for sone reason she can't see Lily and goes down stairs turns the light on the window is intact THEN Lily "wakes" up and hears little sister get kidnapped through the window but doesn't know THAT'S what happened so she goes on to check it out sees the light turned on (by the little sister) and the broken window the 'other Lily' then shapeshifts? Into little sister and gets her killed I think then the jumoscare is the end of the timeline as it is. The events played out in different order for some reason some sort or time anomaly it seems

3:00 - Beth wakes up from a nightmare, went to Lily's room. couldn't find her 3:05 - Beth went down the kitchen, got eaten 3:00 - Lily saw Beth looking for her, but couldnt move or react. saw the Other 3:0x - Lily wakes up 3:12 - Lily killed the Other the weird parts -Beth couldn't see Lily -Lily thought she hit the Other, ,but actually killed Beth -Beth's corpse turned back into Other Lily It's either a time paradox/ groundhog day situation - Beth couldn't see Lily because the Other ate her (3:00 AM) and then the Other ate her in the kitchen (3:05 AM) - Lily had sleep paralysis and saw Beth, but couldn't say anything or move (3:00 AM) Found the monster and killed it. but killed Lily instead. and got eaten (3:12 AM) or... -The Other had obfuscated Lily from Beth's view. -The Other ate Beth, when Lily hit the Other, It quickly transformed into Beth to make Lily drop her guard. and then promptlly ate her.

This other lily invaded the dreams of the sisters and shape-shifted to trap them one after the other in the following time sequences : 3 am: Beth wakes up after seing what happened to lily but she has no idea how the window broke, she heads down and gets snatched and the window breaks. Meanwhile Lily is rooted to her bed by the monster but she does notice the outline of her sister, then she goes down the stairs and HER moments are used before they happened by the monster wich instrumented everything.

beth is first taken, as we see when lily goes downstairs in the kitchen, the window mirror is broken. plus the door to beths room is open. the thing made lily invisible when beth looked for lily in her room. and we can even see a girls silhouette during lilys paralysis

Nice jump scares. Usually they are so obvious but the one with paralysis demon over the bed and at the end were able to catch me off guard.
