I have an easy explanation for the sleeping inconsistencies. You mentioned that elves don't get many breaks, so it's reasonable to assume they work long hours. Maybe even for days on end without sleeping. Even though he's human, it's not entirely out of the realm of the universe to say he could learn to do the same. Then he sleeps in the window without being tucked in, which could've been him finally passing out from exhaustion.

A few things I thought of when watching this movie: 1. How is Buddy so energetic when his step-father is SO EMOTIONLESS throughout the entire movie? Did he tuck Buddy in at night while he grew up? 2. 5:55 Does the North Pole have gender neutral bathrooms? 3. When Buddy buys a "special someone dress," he should know its for a girl right? There's still romance in the North Pole! 4. When he made a rocking horse, he destroyed his father's furniture to get the wood which is kind of insensitive. 5. If Buddy was so popular at the North Pole, shouldn't he have recognized that Miles was, at the very least, not a North Pole elf?

"Baby, it's cold outside" isn't problematic in the slightest. The idea that it is is just a misunderstanding of cultural differences and the assumption that how we interact today is exactly the same as how we interacted in the 1940's, when the song was written. The entire song hinges on the fact that at that time a woman couldn't just stay overnight at a man's house without the very valid fear of being ostracized. It's a song about a woman wanting to stay the night at a man's house, but knowing that it's not socially acceptable, and a man, seeing her desire to stay, giving her every excuse to do so. He says it's cold out, and that the weather is bad, and that it would be impossible to get a cab at that point. She says she has to leave, but maybe after another half a glass of liquor, then much later in the song says she has to leave again, but maybe after one last cigarette. The woman absolutely wants to stay but doesn't want people to judge her for it. The only line in the whole song that could be problematic is "Say what's in this drink?" but that's just her feigning that the drink is super strong and that shes already feeling a little drunk, it's another excuse for her to stay. The entire song can be summed up by the line "At least I'm gonna say that I tried." They're just building a portfolio of excuses to give other people when they ask why she had a night of consensual fun in a man's house.
