I really wanted to see the initial military response, how they found out they were invulnerable, couldn't see, couldn't swim, etc. The movie went to quickly back into be quiet or you die, which we've see twice. Having said that, I still liked it. It was different to see a main character not focused on survival, but just getting some pizza before she died. I don't know who trained that cat, I read it wasn't any CGI, but damn that cat was calm even on and under water.

Yeah I was disappointed, cause we never got to see the military engage the death angels in combat, it’s supposed to be the first day of them invading yet we hardly seen any military personnel being dropped in or showing us how the military found out they were useless against these aliens, when we see Eric walking to get Sam’s medicine, he walks past the ruins of military vehicles like Humvees and a tank and M4s on the ground, implying that their was a standoff between the military and the aliens and I think they missed an opportunity to show the tension of how these things can take down themselves army with no issues, this was honestly the definition of show don’t tell cause all they did was say that the military was defeated by the death angels but never showed it or a fight scene.

They have super sensitive hearing and no sight, some random requency hurts their ears, girl with special hearing device accidentally finds that frequency and it makes them skits out. Their exterior is impenetrable yet their insides are soft and gooey but they almost never expose their insides to a real threat except when they skits out... play special frequency and bang dead. It's a bit contrived but I don't have a problem with it and I don't think she's a Mary Sue at all if that's what you're saying.

I thought this movie was going to show us how these aliens took humanity by suprise, slaughtering thousands, and how people learned to adapt to their presence. Show us the learning curve of people. But it I received the opposite. Obviously, if there is a monster in your city, you would be as quiet as possible, but these people already knew that the aliens were completely blind. The protagonist literally shines the torch at it face in the subway. How did they arrive at this conclusion. The kids at the water fountain already knew they were safe. How? In the first move, more than 100 days have passed, so it makes that the aliens grew accustomed to the noise and learned to distinguish. Overall, this movie undoes a lot of the work that the first two did.

I love this series. It's probably my favourite monster horror film series, but they have dropped the ball on some of the consistencies. Like how does Lee have newspapers when this shows that from Day One they figured out noise is a no-no. How were the likes of Lee able to construct a fully functional barn where they could live in? Why did Djimon Honsou say they figured out later that the death angels can't swim when they realised it within the first three days? How did Frodo remain quiet? How are the death angels able to hear the smallest noise but when Quinn and Frodo were right on top of them they didn't even hear their heartbeats? I wish Day One had answered the more scientific questions about the death angels

Lee probably either owned the barn or just took it as a base when it was abandoned. Lee was using them as sound proofing by taping them to walls. I think day one and part 2 has different directors so theres some slight inconsistencies with the "discovered later" part. Frodo is a therapy cat I think, also cats are pretty quiet hunters/hiders (not a common house chat though.) The sound of a heart beat might be mistaken for other minute noises they hear like rain, they are attracted to loud, short, burst of noise because those are unnatural while a heart beat is consistent, which is why the march to the sea port wasn't instantly attacked because it was a giant group of taps, which sound like rain. In total, the monsters aren't smart, I'd put their intelligence under most hunter animals, they are carried by strong stats. They prioritize the most recent noise and the loudest, inconsistent, and unnatural noises. (These are all general assumptions from watching the movies and watching their behavior) Honestly don't look too deep into these movies because writing monsters like these while giving them a weakness a movie watcher might think of is near impossible, I don't blame you for questioning though lol.

Look, I've had some calm cats. And I mean calm to the point where people would ask me "is he on drugs" calm. People would visit the house and he would be chill, we would take him outside to the garden and he would be chill with the other people there. I worked at the venue that the theatre basement scenes were filmed in and had direct CCTV into the set by my desk! I got to watch Lupita & co shoot for a few day, it was so great. They bought in a rain bowser and the big stand in puppets for the CGI angels of death. its so fun to witness your venue be transformed in to a totally different place by set builders and designers

The shoe thing also makes sense. when people are hit with physical and emotional trauma at the same time, the foot shrinks in size. This happens a lot in car and motorbike accidents, and getting killed by a death eater. it's why you see random shoes on highways

a really inaccurate way to hunt prey, I mean they can't navigate their environment and would run into things and be super clumsy.. how can they distinguish prey animal from something else? it's literally a shot in the dark lol

That cat must have titanium balls - he did not make a single peep being dragged around, even when had to dive under water. Regular cat would have had a panic attack and scratched whomever is holding him while in water

One thing that always annoys me is that it's stated that the big giveaway is at 9:00, right after the airing of _Halloween._ But we see it just turns 7:50 and the film only has about 20 minutes left (including closing credits). Even taking any commercials into account, that still leaves about half an hour until 9:00.

Although it is hilarious to think of a situation where cats aren't constantly meowing for food, it does make sense. Humans are apex predators, while cats are mesopredators. Since humans aren’t used to being hunted, realizing we need to be silent would take longer. Cats, on the other hand, are naturally more aware of predators and would likely pick up on the fact that the monsters are blind much faster, adapting accordingly.
