So Ranbir got close to his mom and more detached with dad as she used to share all the problems. Media had covered Rishi-Neetu ji fights and even Ranbir had troubled time as his friends in school were well aware from papers. Don't judge people without knowing their life.

He received offers after offers repeatedly for 5 years to polish his craft. NOW, that's too much leniency. No actor outside these Bollywood clans get those kinds of opportunities. In fact, they have to start from lower level characters with low screen time. Just look at Irrfan khan who had done minor roles in movies to get to major roles in Bollywood and even Hollywood cinema. I mean, that requires a lot of work and effort. If every actor in Indian cinema gets that kind of chance, then we would have many Ranbirs, even better than him. This is not to take away what he had done, but to remind everyone that he is not better than Rajkummar and Nawaz.
