It is neither of those 2 options 😁 it is a cinematic film with a soundtrack. I can recommend Sopwithman's channel, his are more documentary style. We often fly against each other, he's good. 👍

@@daedallus5883 I admit I don't fly ww1 but I've heard that IRL those rotary engine were very tricky, generating not only torque but a lot more gyroscopic force than any other engine type. I guess it shows in the sim. It's the total lack of flare that got me surprised. Cool video though.

Thx, yes the rotary engines are an acquired taste! It takes a long time to learn how to turn left successfully in a Dr1! But worth the effort 👍

@@daedallus5883 so if you're in an in line engine fighter like a se5 and you've got a dr1 on your tail, or you're in an albatross and got a Sopwith camel on your tail, I guess that turning left tight must be a good idea?

Se5 is the fastest plane in the game down low, so an experienced pilot would dive and extend, the Dr1 can't follow because it is too slow and could seize the engine if you aren't careful. Yes an albatros will go into a rolling scissors or keep turning hard left until a team mate arrives. You should try WW1, it's up close and personal, great fun!
