AI still has F-16 like roll rate, like in the original CLOD in 2011. Your Hurricane can barely keep up rolling with the 110 which is just ridiculous :)

It makes me laugh. An aircraft the size of the bf110 rolling like an aerobatic plane. Cliffs of Dover is a decent flight sim but it has some quirks!

A couple of the Tobruk planes have insane roll as well, to the point the ai doesnt know how to handle it and just rolls forever to avoid your nose

I wish that IL2 had a ground exit gauge that would allow the player's avatar to exit the plane and run away.

@@KyleCowden I'm afraid there'll be no backwards compatibility, everything would have to be rebuild from scratch and I don't see them doing that any time soon, if at all.

IL1946 also got it(Mod), u can enter and Drive vehicles even in multiplayer, walk around etc

@joey-kwok I member, that was a long time ago, shame because I think VR might be the last chance to really make the game mainstream again. But aces of war is about to be released and I think that will be the VR gamers go to game

Would have loved to play this flight sim but like many others I could never get my joystick to be recognized even after using the included joystick configuration program file that came with the Blitz version.

did you have other usb stuff plugged in at the time? eg joypads etc?

@@gibbs677bg It turned out to be that I did not understand how to actually setup the joystick. The program saw my joystick the whole time. Just pressing the enter button once I had selected the control I wanted to configure it to is all I needed to do. It is just not explained well in the instructions plus there is nothing on KZbin that actually shows a step by step on joystick setup. They just assume you know the basics and this is where they go wrong and loose all of us newbies.

True story told to me by my late FiL, As a boy he was standing outside the local cinema on the main street of our small town in Northumberland UK. He heard aero engines and saw a HE111 flying down the main street at rooftop height, he remembers seeing the men in the front "Glasshouse", He said the front gunner over his gun and said if he had been really nasty he could have opened up and killed hundreds as it was Saturday and the street was full of people! Luckily he didn't! At the end of the street heading out of town he lifted, this is when FiL saw two fighters following him, They held their fire til he was out of town and heading for the North sea only a couple of miles away. He heard their machine guns chatter and later found out the German went down into the local bay.So yes they would hold their fire until sure of the Enemies intentions!!

The game always suffered from air gunners who were too accurate. Every other mission your engine gets shot out..

Hallo.....ich hab schon länger dieses Game....musste mir einen neuen joistik zulegen....( Logitech extreme 3d pro )nun hab dermassen Schwierigkeiten es überhaupt in Gang zu bringen. Muss erwähnen dass ich jetzt über Steam besitze....hab aber auch das Spiel aus dem Laden.... Ich bin schon am verzweifeln....könntest du mir bitte irgendwie da weiterhelfen....kann es einfach nicht genießen....😭😓👏

do you have other usb stuff plugged in? if so just try keyboard mouse and joystick, absolutely nothing else, joypads can mess with the detection, let me know if it works?

ouais pas terrible , un 110 amoché , un hurricane moteur explosé et un choix de cible pas très judicieux , peu mieux faire.

If you were on realistic gunnery you wouldnt bother opening fire til the target fills the circle

in Clod you can set your own guns convergance, so he may have had a difference range set up, plus the spitfire had a manual setter for the range on the sight, the 2 horizontal yellow lines should touch the wingtips no that sight unlike the americans who filled the circle.
