Correction: the runs mode in the new upcoming update are for the CSS series, not for the CSW :) You can already use the Marcato to play realistic runs with CSW. The CSW 1.4 update is just to fix a couple of bugs that were missed in the earlier update

Hello, Marc! I just found your channel today. Great review! I was a woodwinds player as a kid and I'm looking to get back into it when I find a woodwind controller that feels "right" in my hands. I don't like the Akai EWI or the Roland Aerophone. Anyway, Cinematic Studio Woodwinds sounds like a winner! Hopefully it'll go on sale towards the end of the year.

I notice on a couple of instruments (bassoon and clarinet for instance) that crossfading between dynamic layers results in a kind of doubling/chorusing/phasing of two adjacentdynamic layers, which makes the legato's unrealistic at times

Hey Mark! Great that you're doing a review of the CS Woodwinds. I already have it and I use it a ton for small group orchestral cues such as Dramedy ect... I really love the Cinematic Studio strings but I wish they would put a low latency option on those also. The latency makes it hard to layer with other strings in real time.

Marc..the flutes need to have the same vibrato...CSW seemed to be NV, while Berlin had quite a bit, more like a solo flute.
