Everything came together for this film. The directing, the cinematography, the short murakami stories, the brilliant acting. Really makes you wish there were more things this well done. Until then I will continue to rewatch drive my car 🙂

They sucessfully captured the melancholic feeling that flows through the novel, while developing all the events in a way that improved the complexity of the characters. Thats what probably would come out if Murakami decided to write his ideas not on a short story, but on 200+ pages book.
