I don't hear Hardy's name come up as much in conversations about cinematography, but he's definitely one of my favorite DPs working today.

His work with Alex Garland alone is something special.

Had no idea Hardy did MI: Fall Out. But I do remember loving his work on it and feeling it stood out among action movies for me because of the camera work. I felt and thought it was going to be Oscar nominated.

Can you do a cinematography style breakdown of the late Robby Müller?

I think it's a loss for 'Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning' that he didn't return.

I've watched loads of Hardy and Garlands interviews, they tend to describe their style as trying to find the breaking point of the image and dialing it back from there.

You really need to do one on Dong Jinsong - one of the best working DoPs today. Credits include Long Day's Journey into Night & The Wild Goose Lake.

Gökhan Tiryaki and/or Akiko Ashizawa would be great to see, as foreign cinematographers influenced by Andrei Tarkovsky's films Also, in general, more cinematographers that focus more on style than naturalism would be cool to see, sort of like Rob Hardy does in some ways.

Chris said that if he were to work on the Mission Impossible series, he would want each film to feel different by working with different teams for each one. That's why we were subjected to the terrible cinematography in the last film. At least that's how I feel.

Hey in depth cine. Your more recent way of narration is incredibly distracting and grating, i regret to tell you. Your older more subdued and calmer, more even tone style was just perfect and beautiful and educational. I hope you stop with the pitch jumps. It feels like Watch Mojo. All my love
