Finally somebody said what is in my mind….Today’s music is not music…it is just sound production….Part has to do with untrained composers or just few collaborators…..No one is working hard to learn music in the first place. Raja and MSV had to work hard to learn music. That’s why theirs is great.

Thanndatti Karupayi song was a lovely song,.. picturisation, editing, music, concept.. direction..truly superb and outstanding.. specifically that Folk TO melody and back TO Folk concept in that song was absolutely nice. After seeing and hearing that song first timeI had a feeling that A Music Director had arrived !!..it's unfortunate that Joshua Sridhar is not being approached by today's movie directors.

I too agree that he is a fantastic music composer, but music composing skill is not just enough in the ocean like cinema industry. Hope by seeing this interview u had witnessed the reason why he got field out from cinema.. its all attitude and communication skills. வாடகை Studio வில் தான் MSV , KVM , Iliyaraja போன்றவர்கள் இசையமைத்தார்கள். அந்த பாடல்கள் எல்லாம் இன்றும் காலத்தால் அழியாமல் இருக்கிறது. நமக்கு திறமை இருந்தால் போதும். நீங்கள் கொஞ்சம் வாயை கட்டினால் போதும் வாய்ப்பு தானாக வரும். ஏன் முதல் மரியாதை திரைப்படம் rerecording வந்தபோது இளையராஜா விற்கு பிடிக்கவே இல்லை. பிடிக்காமல் இசையமைத்த அந்த படத்தின் பின்னணி இசையை கேளுங்கள்.

Joshua is very talented. Veppam songs and of course Kadhal album showed his calibre. He is right when he says a lot of mainstream film music today is just noise. Too much noise, no melody, no heart touching music. The same beats and koothu song is recycled over and over with different lyrics in todays music
