This band always impresses me. I was in a core style marching band in High School, but I always wanted to play like this band.

@aland58 at football games people want to be entertained. they donot want to see a band do nothing but march in a straight lines and only straight lines and hear music that they use to help go to sleep at night. and southern is the best band in the land. HBCU bands have more success than non HBCU bands do. and thats because they are give the audience what they want. and they want to get the crowd to interact with them thats why they do what they do.

Well the crowd begs to differ...Thats the way we do it HBCU marching band style baby!! Take a look at ULL performance after that and you be the judge of who was embarrassed...matter of fact I think everyone made their trips to the concession stands to get their hot dogs and pepsi when ULL took the field....LOL If SU is "horrible" I want to be horrible all the time! Gotta love it.

We welcome you SU Hater. Truly none of our accomplishments would have been possible without your support...hate that is. SU 4 Life!!!

@Aland58.....That's not poor phrasing when that's the way the song is meant to be played. Southern has a distinct sound and it doesn't change because it's not meant to. I would strongly urge you to step outside you little box and learn more about different types of music. Do your research,SU Juke Box is one of the best band programs in the country across the board. Check out Norfolk State University, Bethune Cookman University, Jackson State University and FAMU to start.

@cedfri their snare drums are fine. this band is all about tradition. so today's snares wouldnt fit in with southern's style
